Oh, joy. Another day goes by with no changes to the permissions. I think I wouldn’t bother posting if Ion hadn’t told us the change was “unintentional” and that they were “working on a fix.” I mean, we all know (now) he was lying, so why does it matter to me that he said it?
I guess that’s a little like asking, why do I post when I know it makes no difference? But I do know why I post. I’m stubborn. And I’m going to keep posting until either the permissions are fixed or Blizz flat out says they have no intention of making any changes to guilds. I suppose I’ll also stop if they shut down the thread without making a continuation thread. But since they’re ignoring our existence, I don’t see any of that happening.
Doesn’t seem to be much activity on here lately. I hope that means everyone is having fun playing TWW. I haven’t been playing much lately, but it’s more of a time thing than anything to do with the game. I’ve had fun whenever I’ve been on, though I admit I don’t bother doing anything with my guild anymore.
I once had dreams of it being a really active, fun guild. Now I wonder if I’d bother doing anything with it even if we got our permissions separated again. I’ve just really lost interest in managing a guild. Feels bad. 
Honestly, I keep reading the support forums and it just depresses me. Came across one request for help where someone had come across a 10 year old bug and was linked to the support article that said in order to “fix” the issue, don’t trigger the issue in the first place. Once the bug is triggered, it won’t get fixed.
Oh, my. That IS depressing.
I’m not sure if I’m happy or not that Blizz has never come back and told us they’re not going to bother with a fix for the permissions because the problem’s too old now. I mean, I would like to know if they really aren’t planning to ever fix it, but not knowing lets me keep hoping.

I did trigger that bug once. I had to put in a ticket, then a GM logged into my character to unlock the race.
Yeah think they did that, for a while. Apparently they no longer do that. As far as I can tell, any fix that requires a GM to actually do anything with your account (unless it’s to do with billing), no longer happens. Or at least, happens VERY infrequently.
I managed to get some help with a guild transfer a few years ago, and that was the last time I saw any “personal touch” - and that was before they got rid of the majority of their CS staff and outsourced.
I’ve been so busy lately, I haven’t even had time to drop in on the forums and leave a post here. I realize the permissions aren’t going to get fixed based on our posts–if that were the case they would have been done years ago. But that’s not the point.
I want to keep this thread going so we can continue to remind Ion he said they were working on a fix. Until we get our fix, or we’re flat-out told it’s never going to happen, I’m going to post whenever I can. And I’ll keep hoping for a real, honest, all around useful update for guilds.
Still here. Still wanting the permissions separated out again like they used to be.
