About the same.
Her old armor looks bad. Her new armor makes her look like a Bard or Cleric or something.

In what reality is a green and gold outfit the same voidyness of a black and white outfit with a void bow?
defs prefer the old model. Trying to hard for the altgoth girl look n such now. The skrillex/braid/megafringe thing is so overdone and its never looked good.
I really like it, but I feel like it’d fit Vereesa more and Alleria’s color scheme should’ve stayed gold/green.
The gold/green was from when she was a High Elf.
She’s a Void Elf now.
In what reality is white a void color?
Blue, purple, black.
Why are people getting worked up over a stupid outfit on an NPC they’re going to see two times over the next few years until Blizzard finally kills her off (spoiler alert).
Also, silver and blue… that’s ice, my dude. Doesn’t scream Void anything.
brother please learn how to do a spoiler warning properly.

I feel it fits with WARTHIN aesthetic of Void Elves and Xalatath But then again this is a weird take from someone (a horrible karen lol) who thinks Hunter’s season 1 Warthin set as bad and wants the designer to be fired.

She’s not being killed off, it was a joke.
This outfit with the hood and old hair would look far better than this Karen/Elsa mix she has going on. And the eyeshadow bothers me for some reason, haha. Gives me “TikTok makeup tutorial” more than “void magic”.
wants the designer to be fired.
Don’t put words in my mouth.
I asked them to hire someone new to do the hunter sets. No where in any of my posts did I tell them to fire someone.
Hasn’t she been a Void Elf since the end of Argus?
YMMV, but I liked the contrast between Alleria’s traditional fantasy elf aesthetic and the Void. It made the transformation seem a lot more pronounced, which is why I wanted to have that same interaction going on for my character with the HE customization.
yikes these karens are relentless in wanting people getting fired
This actually is what usually drives a spiritual successor. I’ll lay odds that if Blizzard doesn’t reign in the crazy and return to the Metzen style, someone will make a WoW successor someday soon. I also think that if they stick to the original formula, it will be very well received by the fans, while being completely reviled by the professional critics and so called ‘intellectuals’ for uplifting things that are WoW staples. Strong characters, dark stories, racial conflicts (like Humans and Orcs), and unrepentant and evil villains (like Arthas).
One can only hope however that if such a project takes off, that the person also decides to take steps to ensure that the people who have changed WoW’s ‘direction’ and appear to be remaking it, are left unable to infiltrate or subvert the work, even after the creator has passed away.
Don’t think that some of us have forgotten how a half of these forums were attacking Chris Metzen back when that whole DFEH scandal went down, and how far too many people tried to use it as an excuse on why he and so many other creators, should be gone forever. Makes it easier to take over if you have no one to answer to eh?
The people clamoring for that just wanted the Old Guard gone so they could have full control and the ability to convert WoW into something they like, but the primary audience does not. It was obvious then, and it’s obvious now.
So how do you ward your creation if you capture lightning in a bottle? I reckon the best way to do that is to do what J.R.R. Tolkien and the Tolkien foundation did. Set down guidelines of what will ‘never’ be allowed, no matter how much the employees cry or threaten to quit. Tell the ones that can’t cope, where the door is and then hire new ones.
I say that only because I am 99.9999% sure there’s plenty of people who would love to be revisionist and rewrite Aragorn’s character, or Frodo and Sam’s friendship; and would do so partially for wish-fulfillment reasons, but also to spite all of the people who liked original fantasy. You see it all the time online, as such ‘artists’ also almost always engage in name-calling and hateful speeches toward the fans, because the audience was not ‘intelligent enough’ to appreciate their ‘bold new direction’.
It’s not that. We know what we like, they know what we like; but the individuals in question hate what we like.
So really? I think War Within and the World Soul Saga’s got one shot. They either get it right or they don’t.
I’m glad they finally covered up her belly. Gross. No one wants to see her elf belly.
She kind of looks like Alisae (sp) from FFXIV now.
Imo, it feels like the alliance version of undead getting Calia: She was made to be eyecandy rather than fit the group she’s supposed to be leading.
We better get Void Tattoos, and Star Cursed hair, otherwise it’ll be a bit off to me. Because they could’ve given her a tentacle in her hair, instead of star cursing it, and that would’ve made her feel a lot more like currently playable void elves.
Idk there’s something about her face that just irks me. It’s like lowkey duck face
She turned from a green sylvanas clone into a stereotypical angsty 15 year old high schooler.
Her first look albeit super generic is far better.
i like it. coulda been a wee bit more…erm…dramatic, but its nice
