Increase the timer to 45 minutes.
Easy, done. Key failure rate goes down, people get breathing room, 2/3 chesting becomes a norm unless the group sucks and you only fail a key if your group is completely outmatched rather than requiring near perfect play.
Honestly doesn’t even need 45 mins across the board. Just 5 more mins on each dungeon would up the success rates massively
It’s not hard to get KSM this season. At all. Play better. Easy. Done.
A “fix” would indicate that something was broken to begin with. Can’t say I agree with the narrative spun on these forums. M+ in TWW is fine; nothing amazing to write home about to other regular seasons, but there’s nothing (at least substantially) wrong either.
I have KSM, and i’m at 2.4k IO on my main. I run keys for gear and vault (also gear), not for keys.
It isn’t at all a narrative spun, 10s are fine but anything 4-8 is aids right now due to a massive scaling/skill wall that bricks the bad players, who can never improve because nobody better will take them due to how tight keys are. If you want “competitive” content, you do 12-15s, if you just want gear, you do up to 10s. Anything under that shouldnt be forced. I’ve had to sit some friends from my 10 runs because I couldn’t trust them to make the timer with me. it’s actively encouraging antisocial interaction
Just brick the key and bounce it back up. Who cares? I’ve ran my friends alts through 10s, if it goes sideways I’m still playing with my friends.

You’re not entitled to completing the harder content you know, not everything has to be doable by all players.
Isnt the point of a scaling dungeon system that at some point people will hit a wall based on their skill?
That getting BIS rewards is not guaranteed?

People seem to lack the understanding that with a scaling or laddered system people will plateau at their talent level and that’s pretty much it. It’s the perpetual silver players from league who think they could be challenger if they just changed one character. No, you’re skill capped. But that doesn’t mean the game needs to be changed to accommodate them and give them participation trophies.

You are being slightly more honest. But by increasing the timers to 45m for all dungeons, its making it easier for everyone.
I am only at 8s and 9s being timed. But most of my timers are around 20-25 minsBut do we really need another 20 mins? Removing so much risk and requirement of playing well?

I am at easily timing 9s, 10s/11s being dependent on the group.
10 and under needs to be doable more because right now there’s a culture of elitism that makes anyone outside of the top 0.1% of ilvls and/or parses have a very long and hard time getting invited to anything because of how tight it is.
There’s no reason for this other than ego.

I think with the squish, the progress is less granular and players at a range of skill levels will feel like they top out much sooner than they used to.
Instead of being able to clear say, +2 through +15, which is 13 granular steps of difficulty, you get +2 through +4.
There are less steps to improve upon because that gradual mobility is shortened, and the player can feel like they have achieved less.
The only thing any game should encourage is skill. Grow up lol, this isn’t middle school anymore, and you’re not a teenage girl. You don’t need a full band of friends everywhere you go.
That is true, but with how rough the timers are this season it’s made everyone extremely picky in order to almost guarantee they time that key. Which is understandable, but it’s made trying to get into certain key levels like +8s, +10s, etc. a real chore because of it. Right now even I have a timed +10 for Dawnbreaker, roughly +100 RIO above the leader of the groups I’m applying for, but they’re looking for someone +200 or higher. It’s not healthy for the long term player retention because most people will find dealing with this every week not worth the potential rewards.
