The minimal effort carry me crowd

You get azerite traits through capping CP eventually. Essences I see some people doing fine with just the basic rank 1 or 2. And corruptions have a chance to drop from your pvp chest and after your first vision run.

yeah on my second day of being 120 im already 410 ilevel and i dont even have cloak yet. Benthic and black empire gear is so ez to get people these days complain about alt unfriendliness when are necks are lvl 50 right at the beginning if you do the nazajatar questline and we have a bunch of BOA gear. the only very alt unfriendly thing is the cloak, which should be easier to rank up imo.

Soā€¦ if I PvE a lot I can be competitive.

I donā€™t consider a few quests pveā€™ing to the extent others do, especially if you do so with warmode on (thereā€™s pvp involved)

Yep, grind and grind and grind until your eyes are bleeding. Then grind some more. Until you reach an acceptable level of gear/essences/corruption - but by that point you are burned out and hate BfA.

Please donā€™t think that I donā€™t respect your opinion, but my point was you could pretty much just jump right in to PvP in WoD and be competitive but itā€™s not that way in this expansion. It feels like an expression of the shut up PvP guy video.

Iā€™d give you a like but Iā€™m out of them. Too many grind mechanics this expansion, itā€™s why Iā€™m running BGs on a low level character.

WoD was nice. Gearing alts through Ashran was easy mode. After you got the honor set which could be done in about 2 hours, bam BGs.

Too many rose tinted glasses in here. I remember very clearly aimed shot/chimera shot/kill shot combo and 100-0 in mop. My feral could literally eat people in wod. My dh at the end of legion could take out half a team solo.

At the end of every expansion there is just as much of a power creep as right now from a fresh max level to a geared one. People forget this. In mop and wod you really couldnā€™t dent a geared persons health at all compared to now you can at least move health bars starting at 400 item level.

You could determine the outcome of a game before the doors open just by inspecting health pools in past expansions just like you can right now.

Some of you are either new to the game or have forgotten.

Except you couldnā€™t. You could just jump right in, but at this point in a season even casuals were almost full CP geared. I had np 1v2 as a full cp geared player in a BG vs low honor geared players.

Are you claiming that a PvP stat on gear or it scaling up in PvP combat was worse then the current system of gear being generic for both PvE and PvP? The system now clearly favors the PvE crowd by a large margin.

Think that was more of a DH problem. Legion had the least gear gap for a fresh 110 player.

The only gap in legion was if the character did not have full access to honor talents. Without those classes were just a training dummy for people to DPS on.

Right and those players were grouped together. You werenā€™t thrown into the full honor talent crowd unless you grouped with others. There was a prestige bracket for new players.

Even with the templates not allowing for secondary stat priority I would trade it in a second for this junk.

I didnā€™t even run it that much. I liked the horsey speed on my ghost wolf and I eventually did it enough to get the manslayer title but I just felt Ashran was a little too PvE for me. Still, we could use some honor system for gear now like Isle of Thunder or even PvP WQs.

I came in at the start of S2, I was still facing a pretty significant gear disadvantage but as Shill mentioned I could have ran Ashran for a couple of hours and been geared enough to be competitive with the conquest geared players.

I remember in Wrath on my DK (lol) I had the trinkets from BoA honor, a couple of crafted pieces for the 2-piece bonus, and some tanking gear and I took out a full wrathful warlock in like my 1st or 2nd BG ever on that char like 4 or 5 times while solo guarding the stables. I know, DK in wrath proves nothing.

The start of every season isnā€™t bad at all. We are now, what? 3 months in this season.

first three weeks of the pvp season, and they were 1v3ing at high rank in arenas.

Except WOD the max difference between someone who had full cp and someone in standard bg gear was 10 ilvl. The only area where pve overtook pvp by a major level was in ashran where the ring+ unleashed mania was allowed.

Iā€™m not talking about gearing. Iā€™m talking about the power creep at the end of each expansion from a geared max level to a fresh one. Its always like this.

Previously it was just general strength achieved by gear. Now there is a bunch of other effects that determine strength as well. Essences, corruptions, azerite traits. All of which should be disabled for PvP.

In my DK example we were at about the same point in the expansion. But, again, DK in Wrath isnā€™t a meaningful example when discussing relative power.
