Maybe for a fresh 120. Once you hit 430-440 (which takes just a few days) it’s not that bad.
Even as a 430, there is not a damn thing you can do to scratch a 460+. The difference in health pools is disgusting.
Stop 1v1ing in 10/15 man BGs
Eventually a 1v1 scenario will happen. Or a 2v2, either way you are going to visit the graveyard very soon.
Depends who you are. Maybe certain classes struggle, but not most.
Legit statement if what you’re looking for is total control. Control over comp, control over gear, control over strat.
What I am asking for (and yes, I know, it’s a fairytale considering personalities, age ranges, etc.), is for people to care a bit. Care enough not to abandon the BG you started causing someone else to pick up your mess as backfill. Care enough to learn your class some. Care enough to get some gear. Care enough to observe strats and learn objectives. Communicate. Peel your heals. Understand that cc matters. Blah, blah, blah. I could go on to novella proportions here.
This is really not too much to ask. Pvp is a team effort. People need to act like it.
If your class is Drest or Motorbike trinket congratulations, you’re a winner. We get it, you have no issues with being drip-fed gear through PvP while on the other side the PvE heroes can spam M+ all the live long day.
Managed to get the last few achieves and mogs I wanted before my sub ran out. Will come back in Shadowlands if things change, but I doubt they will.
Yea I really don’t. I can keep up with the damage with the rest of them. Guard bases like a boss too during some RBGs The rbg matches I’ve lost is due to bad team play, not gear. Not saying some people have never lost BGs because of gear (ofc it will happen at some point) but it’s being blamed for too often.
I take it your destro lock was the toon you did those RBGs on. Its not as if destro lock has good damage or is tanky even with minimal gear
How about trying a spec that is not S tier and get back to us on how great PvP is.
Are you saying ret is in a bad spot?
Only if vs a mage/lock/rogue. That is very rare though
Sure it is, and just because people pvp without having 450+ gear first does not mean they are not doing those things above, nor does having 475 gear mean that they are.
Right now, gearing for PVP is abysmal for people that just like to pvp.
I really hope SL fixes the whole “You have to go PVE so you can PVP” issue.
You and me both brother.
I have a buddy on bnet (banned from the forums though) who plays multiple classes and does well in lower gear. We are talking about randoms here.
Cool. Ret utility is decent, but it is squishy as hell. So without good teammates to peel or throw some offheals you might as well build a vacation home right next to the GY.
My point exactly. Teamwork is key in randoms.
Read my posts. I’m not talking about required ilvls, mandatory corruptions, or any such item(s). I merely, and will always, talk about a bit of effort. My frustration is not with some 455 player. It’s with the guy that comes in with things missing or exceedingly low items he could have easily replaced.
No argument here. It is.
I’m not holding my breath, but rather taking a wait and see approach before buying.
I’m playing Ragnarok with my 5 yr old currently.
I mean, it makes sense. If people are getting twice the experience per quest/dungeon run/etc. then they’re going to be more likely to outlevel the gear they’re wearing. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t feel free to participate if they enjoy leveling through BG’s but there shouldn’t be any complaints about getting killed a lot.
You’re right, you were not.
But you were talking about wanting people to put as much time/care/effort into BG’s as you do. I think that is a fine desire to have, but an unrealistic expectation with the assortment of people thrown together in a random BG. Who knows what the story is for every player who does not do the things you were talking about above, but I doubt all of them are out to ruin your BG’s.
If having a bunch of people that take BG’s as seriously as you do is important to your enjoyment, you should get a group together and/or play competitive. If that is not your thing, or too much effort, then maybe try sticking to worrying about your own gameplay?
For myself, I have realized that capping conquest in other ways makes my BG’s more enjoyable because I am not so tied up in the win/loss outcome. I still try to win, try to get better, but find the games to be much more enjoyable.
It’s because they get to 120 and see there is a 440 weapon as a CQ reward … so they immediately start queuing up. I suggested earlier that Blizz shd put the CQ weapon in the middle of the reward schedule .
