So let me get this straight. You think a week into the expansion will illuminate all the problems and a single days worth of downtime will be good enough to fix all the issues and no longer require any more down time for that patch?
No. I expect Pre alpha, alpha, beta, multiple stress tests and the expertise of a company that has run for 20 years to illuminate 99% of the issues and have them resolved before they sell me a product.
All I said was, Iâd rather the down time was able to be compressed into a single day. But for some reason, you canât handle reading that like an adult.
For real. Too many people defending it too, just because it happens often doesnât make it okay. Lol. I donât get it, theyâre not gonna give you a pat on the back for it.
Thereâs a very real possibility that this downtime is also prepping Tuesday, the big day, to be a lesser downtime.
Beta with several thousand players who vastly ignore 85-90% of the actual release to spam M+ can never even remotely prepare them for the bugs that will appear once millions of people start doing every little thing.
This is normal for a game of this size, it is unavoidable, they take the servers down when the least amount of players are affected and that is the best case scenario for them.
Awesome link, I was not aware that the Europe region scheduled their maintenance window from 3am to 7am.
Iâm not sure what to think of these practices. On one hand I think that has to be a rough work schedule but on the other hand I understand these are not peak hours and it would make sense to work around this.
And they use that and compile a work order that involves a priority list which is why some things last longer than others. And why we have multiple down times instead of days of downtime at a time.
And when exactly do you want that to happen? Instead of thinking youre making points by being delibertly vague, how about actually provide some context?
âToday, we want to reward the absolute NPC level simpage from our forum users who have berated and verbally harassed other players who politely expressed disappointment in the amount of server down time theyâve experienced during launch! Introducing, a new D1Ld0-2000 mount for them to ride around on!â
I was a beta tester, and itâs very clear you donât understand anything about the back-end of how these games work.
Free open beta would literally just lead to more M+ being spammed; you think people care to test pet battles and every quest and inch of every zone but the reality is they do not, and would not, and this is extremely standard for a game expansion with millions of players.
Itâs four hours on non-peak times, itâs a very minor inconvenience and Iâm pretty sure youâre just a rage baiting troll.
You know most of this down time is squarely on the much of the player base nowâŚyou all rush rush rush though content like crazyâŚyou keep complaining over and over there is nothing to do cause you rush though already what has been releasedâŚEarly Access saw it happen quite wellâŚone player went from 70 to 80 in 1 hour 1 minâŚthere have been complaints cause of EA those folks now are complaining there is nothing to do âŚif you all stop and slowed down it wouldnât put pressure on Blizzard to push out stuff that is not 100% ready for launchâŚsame goes for in game issues cropping up like the AHâŚor the Warbank which by the way was caused by players using an exploit to gain stuff they shouldnât have been able tooâŚso blame the players now.
There really isnât that many people defending it. At least not by comparison to those who agree that this is getting beyond ridiculous. You can see the shills getting ratioâd in the responses, but they will pretend otherwise and carry on becauseâŚwell, shills.
ty for being so vocal i knew i could come here to calm down about having nothing to do but read your post. its cool to see my guildys here ( the old gods) but most of in here represent the core community that has most as wow veterans at least a decade of wow expantions. or if we bring up sunwell lol we have super ogs here
