Almost like monetization isn’t a thing where it’s known that click bait and bashing Blizzard generates more views. More views that directly translates to $$ in their pockets.
Well WoW won’t be sustainable when only the same 100 people that get title and CE play season after season, too.
Blizzard is trying to slow down the pace of gear acquisition from M+ with the changes they made for it in TWW.
Diablo style gearing sucks for a sub based game like WoW.
So you want the top 100 people to take a back seat so other players can get a turn?
It’s generally a better idea to design and market things that appeal to the masses than an outlier fraction of a population if the goal is mass market appeal and maximizing profit, yeah.
Almost like most players who engage with M+ don’t care about the title. Everything you just said is irrelevant to title keys and RWF. They are not marketing the .1% title for the average player.
Shh, you’re making too much sense for these forums!
And with that now I know you’re just trolling, so I bid thee adieu.
I know, that was my first mistake!
This poster is part the of the dirty dozen that spends way too much time on these forums. Best to just ignore them. They obviously don’t have much of a life outside these forums.
Typical response after your argument is dismantled.
Yeah I think the takeaway and I am sure blizzard has noticed is that these people are going to play the game no matter what state it’s in.
I’ve been regularly unsubbing when I stop having fun which early through mid season 1 of TWW definitely was not great.
It’s weird. Everyone wants everything but no one wants to sacrifice anything.
The average player wants a moderate challenge, right? What’s that look like? M+ 7? Beating Heroic raid? Where do they draw the line? Is Hero gear not enough? Do they want Mythic track or do they want the challenge?
The hardcore player wants an insanely hard challenge, right? M+ 12 and beyond. Mythic raiding. Would they be upset if everyone had Mythic track practically for free (In their eyes, it would still be a challenge to others)?
Even if the average player was given everything they wanted would they still be disappointed that M+ 15/17/18/etc is too hard for them? Or if Mythic raiding is too hard for them?
Where do we draw the line here? Who loses what? Why can’t we agree?
Did KSH on both heal and tank,
and I can say, once timed COT > never go in again.
Why there is so much difference in damage intake.
NW and SOB are the only two viable non satanic dungeons for healers.
With predictable stable controlled damage.
Just aim for the average gamer, the people that make up 90% of the population.
But what do they want?
If hardcore players have M+ 13 and beyond, that means +12 is technically for average players. If +12 is too hard and Blizz moves the benchmark down to +8, would that be enough?
Or is the issue here that other players are doing content inaccessible to the average player? Meaning if the average player can’t do it, don’t make it in the first place?
Dude, Blizzard had a winning formula years ago. The devs need to stop worrying about creating systems for a tiny minority of players and just make content that is aimed to your average player, which is probably a heroic raider.
KSH on three healers (rsham, disc, mistweaver) and 2300 on holy paladin, resto druid and pres evoker.
CoT is a one-and-done. Awful, awful dungeon.
At the beginning of the season the first boss was a pug killer. And boss 3 and 4 have insane heal checks. Not to mention the ridiculous movement requirements boss 4 has.
Ah, you’re on the flipside of the extreme. Unfortunate.
That Coaglamation boss is one of the reasons I quit after KSH. Not that I usually go beyond KSH but holy heck was that boss just all sorts of wrong. Not even the luckiest of crits could make that any less stressful.
Same with Ara Kara’s last boss. I wouldn’t even stand in melee half the time because it was just too risky. Heaven forbid you had a full melee party.
I finally realized this isn’t the dawn of healer carries anymore. Either your team provides support or it’s going to be a barely timed run (Or not at all).
No, I’m not. The game is just way too worried about catering to a small minority of hardcore gamers. The devs have been molding the game around this player type since Legion, and it has come at a great expense to the rest of the community and the game.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see this. There is a huge sentiment online that retail WoW has become this hardcore, over designed sweatfest that requires a ton of addons now to be able to play the game effectively.
Playing Classic Wrath showed me that the hardcore modes were about the perfect difficulty for your average gamer at the moment.
I play all the other MMOs too, WoW is hands down has the hardest endgame out of all of them, except for maybe savage raids in FF14.
The game exploded in popularity because it was easy to get into.
Ion’s influence on the game hasn’t been great, coupled with all the systems they keep trying to shoehorn into the game from Diablo 3, you have the amalagation we have today. A MMO that really isn’t that great, that only holds players attention for a month or 2 when a new expansion launches.
