I agree with this. Raiding should always offer the best options.
You got some 17s done, stepping the game up brother.
Go complete some keys, prog the fights during early prog, tell me a 15 is equal to a mythic boss. It’s just an asinine statement, and you know it.
It’s part of what makes raiding epic, that’s what this game is… dungeons should not be the best way to get gear, especially considering you people only raid one tier at a time.
Why ? Gear stops at 15.
I killed Mythic N’zoth week 10, Hall of Fame Alliance.
A better change would be loot lockouts from M+. Have end bosses drop the upgraded keys, guarantee drops from the end of dungeon chests but once you loot a chest in a certain gear ilvl range(I’d split them 1-5,6-10,11-15) you can’t loot a chest in that range again for the week.
This way you’d get max 3 gear pieces from M+, only 1 of the highest ilvl and still have the ability to go for the weekly vault which could award the same as end boss mythic Raid Gear as long as you had all M+ 15s to fill out the requirements.
The game needs to be less like diablo and more like world of Warcraft has been for the majority of its successful lifespan.
But you have no experience with M+ to even remotely compare it to, so congrats on being a high level player. You still can’t say anything about M20+ until you’ve done then, which you haven’t.
Mythics until 22-24 are widely considered a joke in the mythic raiding, CE community, and that’s key dependent. I’ve already stated multiple times that if M+ gear rewarded higher at 22+, I’d see an argument for that.
The “RAID OR DIE” mentality that spawned in WoD was bad and should have stayed there.
Considering that M+ rewards significantly less loot in SL than in BFA (1 piece of loot instead of 3), this change really isn’t needed.
Look at all these low IQ trying to epeen each other over who can do something in a video game better
I have plenty of experience with Mythic+ to compare its 465 loot drops with comparable raiding : Heroic. Heroic is so faceroll, it’s not even funny.
Raid or die was FAR before WoD homie. There were no alternatives in the early xpacs.
Nobody who plays solely m+ asked for master looter to be removed. Why are we paying the price for it?
They are, trust me. Raids are still raids and with a large group theres’ always outliers that are just ‘friends’ of some dude or whatever. Healed enough to know that there’s always those who carry and those who don’t. Some just play the right class that sits in the sunshine. Warrior, Druid, Mage… Blizz loves those classes and if you don’t play those, then you’re meat. DH is probably a favorite now too. But it really is a thing. I was there when the dark magic was written, and leap of faith wasn’t put there because it’s an “omg guys what a great spell idea” that’s for damn sure. -It’s a carrying tool.
You’re ignoring the main point of my post; 22s+, there’s an argument. Prior, zero argument for better gear. 15s are faceroll content on par with heroic raiding.
I just enjoy looking at that Orc warrior having shoved a foot in his mouth, as if going by the toon a person posts on is any indication of their experience.
People who used to armory troll used to be much better at it, what gives ? The quality of Armory Trolls is definitely going down.
I was on your side anyway
+22s should get 485.
465 is good for 15s.
What’s your point ?
The thing is, if 22s dropped 465s, no one would be able to even use the 465s as no one in less than 465s is doing 22s. The content is much to harsh for that kind of gear deficit.
Heck, most carry groups won’t sell above a 20, and a 20 carry requires participation.
My issue with the change is that raids never have well itemized gear. Mastery and vers are often trash for many classes but are always well represented in that raid gear, sometimes m+ gear just helps fill the gaps where the raid itemization fails. I don’t want the meta to shift to push 10 keys for cache hope to get the one item in X slot that has Y/Z stats because the raid one doesn’t exist and rage every week because it isn’t in the chest anyway. It’ll discourage sticking around after doing the initial content, no way do I wanna just play for random cache upgrades again.
Its also weird that “raiding should always offer the best gear” is an issue when the last boss loot already exists. Raiding generally has the best pve trinkets(sometimes pvp too) anyway, and castle nathria is already dropping the biggest weapons in the game, what more do you want lol?
Why do we only refer to WoD as raid or die when TBC - MoP was equally as raid or die and those expansions are normally praised?
^This. And we all know that the raiding guilds will sell their runs to M+ only players and carry their players into the +15 M+ bracket for more chances of loot.
