I actually do agree with the OP. You think about it, Mythic Raids, even Heroic and Normal, you have weekly lockouts and weekly loot lockouts. Mythic+, you can spam high keystone dungeons and get geared up pretty fast too, especially when you have a chance at a loot drop also at the end of the dungeon.

That doesn’t make any sense at all; you do realize we’ll get 2 drops per boss spread across 20 people, right? And the mythic raid will not be faceroll farmable like M15s are, and barring Limit and Echo and BDGG, players won’t be farming 10/10 mythic in low gear…they’ll need 226 gear to progress.

You are comparing apples and oranges, and you don’t even realize it.

imagine thinking raiding is harder than high end pvp or high end M+ — I know 12/12M raiders who can’t complete a +20 in the timer to save their life or pvp passed 1500 rating.

Raiders need a reality check.

The M+ crowd shoulda saw the writing on the wall when they removed titanforging (which was the method to reach extreme ilvls by doing endless amounts of high-level M+)

You seem to assume that raiders and M+ players are two different class of player. Are you being carried in raids? Is that why you support raids having higher gear? M+ is challenging and the difficulty only gets higher. You can’t carry in that setting and so some Mythic raiders simply won’t cut it in M+

Nah it’s not a good thing and if your idea of effort is spending 4 hrs of doing the same rotation with a few mechanics wipe after wipe idk how to tell you otherwise.

High end mythic plus can be just as hard as raiding. It’s just in a shorter time period. A lot of people who play this game are adults with lives. They don’t have time to get a raid group going with a guild and sacrifice a weekend night just to game (some do but it’s not something you should have to do to get good gear)

Mythic plus was the perfect answer to a changing time. Instead of finding 25 people I can just find 5 good players and run some quick mythics.

This was a bad choice and doesn’t fit the direction gaming is going in

I do all of the above ; 10th on my server for IO as DPS, CE by April, Glad. They are all equally difficult for the different reasons; guilds wipe 100s of times on mythic endgame bosses, 15s are quite literally about rolling your face.

Mythic raids still offer the best gear even today. The only thing that comes close from M+ is the weekly cache (or cases where secondary stat allocations are bad in raid - which could still be an issue in SL).

This mindset only really applies if heroic raids are your “max”.

2 drops per boss spread across 20 people means, at worst, double.

Mythic raid will absolutely be facerollable by MANY guilds doing it for the first half or so within quick succession.

Finally, even if it were true, the answer is not to completely lock M+ out of that progression; it’s to raise the relative cap.

If you want to limit the amount of loot people get from doing M+ that’s fine; limit the amount of loot. But don’t limit it to bloody zero; that’s a TERRIBLE game experience. After week one, nobody who enjoys M+ as their primary form of end game progression will EVER see a single upgrade from a dungeon ever again, for the rest of the patch cycle. You will only ever get a potential upgrade on Tuesday night at 1am. Does that actually sound exciting to you? How keen are mythic raiders to continue raiding week after week after week when nobody has the prospect of getting upgrades from it?

I enjoy M+ and I run them, but if the prospect of any member of the group getting literally anything from it is literally zero, it will feel terrible.

Find another way, this way is just awful.

But why did it take you until the last week of the expansion to get to this point considering that by your own statements +25 is harder?

Did you just say 2 across 20 is double 1 across 5? I’m gonna need you to figure this out real quick.

Mythic plus being as easy to gear through has been a problem, it needed to be capped now that gear will be gear once it drops. You can run 20 mythics a day if you want, 20 shots at gear; and therefore, that gear can’t match a once a week, max of 10 bosses, that won’t be cleared by many people for AGES.

It’s not 1 across 5… its 0 across 5. The only loot from M+ under this system is from weekly caches, which raiders also get. There will no longer be loot upgrades from M+ at all after the first week or first fortnight.
