Do you think the majority of the player base consists of longtime players who frequent the forums? I think there’s probably at least a substantial amount of players who don’t go on the forums so we’ll never really know their opinions.
I would also like to add that I do agree with your last statement. I think a lot of us expect things to last forever. I know I’ll eventually get bored with WoW again and move on to something else. I don’t think any game can effectively combat that.
Tuesday brought sound effects from SoD into Classic Era. They will 100% be on anniversary realms. Previous updates have brought us completely different functionality for spells that still haven’t been fixed, or animations that come from Wrath superimposed into vanilla.
You and me won’t but Blizzard has other tools to measure where the player-base stands on some changes.
Granted they don’t always think before they act and we regularly see some ridiculous things IG but chronoboon/dual spec/instant mail are QoL that are unanimously welcomed by a large majority. There is no deying that.
Dual spec was the example people gave in 2019 when they wanted to bring up an over-the-top change to the core gameplay of vanilla. Now it’s unanimously agreed on?
Starting to realize what made 2012-2018 pservers the greatest WoW experience wasn’t because everyone was escaping modern versions of the game, but also the modern WoW player. Now Classic has been gentrified by people who don’t care about vanilla, or TBC, or Wrath, they just want an easier version of the game than retail. Shame.
You need to understand that blizzard is not your friend, they don’t care about what you or anyone else wants they care what will make the most money… Do they cater to the 1% who want no changes? OR do they cater to the VAST majority who are ok with these?
If you say anything else besides the majority, then you are only thinking with your heart and not using common sense.
Yeah, especially since it’s not available on the current ERA servers. You have the option to remain on those servers if you don’t want dual spec.
Well, not everyone want to play the exact same game for 20+ years. If changes help improve the overall experience of the game and remove some of the most boring/frustrating aspect of it, I’m all for it.
I get you all enjoy grinding for days and struggling without WB with half-baked spec against raid bosses you’ve killed a thousand time already but some want to do it in a more organized and optimal fashion without having to prep for 20 hours per week. Is it that blasphemous ?
Don’t worry there will still be noob/pve andies to farm all over the world.
And your certifiably insufferable in your constant whining and doom posting. You better stop playing altogether cause it seem to be eating at your sanity.
To be fair, the private server players only want an easier version of the game than retail too. There’s nothing at all difficult about classic. It’s why it’s popular.
People obviously do, thats the sole reason why classic happened.
Private server chads petitioned and petitioned and got classic.
Then retail tourists come along and want to change absolutely everything.
You already have a game mode with changes, play that.
The difference between a marathon and a sprint. Both have their difficulties. Classic is a lot more straightforward and there’s less to think about, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have it’s own peaks.
I’ve seen things in Warsong Gulch that I would need several paragraphs to digest it to an outsider. Even though I don’t tryhard PvE, some PvEers impress me with their ability to prepare ahead of time with certain materials or consumes.
No they don’t. Classic is easy from start to finish. It’s more immersive than retail for sure.
Don’t conflate tedious with difficult btw.
You play classic probably because retail is too difficult for you being one of the reason why you prefer classic. There’s nothing wrong with that, but pretending that there’s any difficult content in classic just ain’t it.
You like an easy game. I like an easy game. I’d just like an easy game with dual spec as an option even more.
