Wasn’t that bad tbh. 1 mines and 4 temples. The first 3 games of temple ofc there is that one guy, just lose fast they have 2 healers and we only have 1 gg… and every time I lol’d. That was honestly the biggest problem with my temples. Getting half of them not to listen and just have a go lmao.

I’m 1-10 right now. Games are just full of people like me with zero pvp gear. Stomps every single time.

This is the problem. I’m a BG regular and it’s practically every match where people are whining and complaining about having to be there. Instant negativity that breeds more negativity.
It only exacerbates the problem.
Honestly that doesn’t matter much right now. The extra resilience and power helps of course, but it’s deff not a deal breaker. If you have 450+ ilvl in PvE gear you can still easily compete.
Or, if you have some extra gold and want to at least get a boost in the PvP stats you can always buy a crafted set. It’ll be worthless once you’re done of course but prices are dropping big time on most items.
Yeah, my last comment was “can you guys just try and have a good time while you’re gaming?” 
Besides, i always thought pvp made me a better pver so no qualms with it here
Yeah i had no pvp gear either but in temple as affliction i still boomd the orbs with 1 soul swap. Although when i got trained I was vaporized lmao
Agreed, quest should just be auto completed like the gunship one at the start of Jade Forest. Makes zero sense that you cut the valor quest from 3000 to 1600, but still require people to spend hours making literally 0 quest progress in PVP matches.
Don’t need to remove the pvp aspect, just add an alternative condition that doesn’t require winning at the cost of needing multiple games

Mocky, 100% agree. Some may not find it enjoyable, but if you’re reasonably well geared, and play smart (you’re not Spartacus), you can have fun and you’ll get your wins.
Until I quit retail I did a lot of PvP, to the point of Bloodthirsty almost x2. I remember this quest in OG, and many players felt the same as some of those posting here. But even though I don’t PvP anymore, I really enjoyed the pace and challenge of the four BG’s it took to get my two wins.
Hang in there guys, you’ll get with the right group and get those victories.

My best advise is get your pvp spells on your action bars.
You can’t control your teammates but the better your pvp sense the easier this will be.
Saw so many druids while doing the quest on my warlock and I think 1 was using cyclone the rest weren’t.

youve known this was a requirement since MoP was announced, youve had plenty of time to convert valor/justice into conquest/honor to get pvp gear.
or even just buy the crafted set

I was lucky and completed it 2 bgs. I feel for y’all because it’s a crappy chain in the quest. I personally didn’t mind it because I used to PvP a lot (and it gave me the itch again), but it shouldn’t be inflicted on others that have no desire.
Why is it every time a classic player meets a little bit of adversity, they want changes to classic, lol
I did it with my PvE gear (on my hunter @ only 490 ilevel) and didn’t bother with the malevolent pieces that I have from the Sha and Gal. I didn’t feel like gemming and enchanting them. It wasn’t worth the time and effort.
It’s not bad at all imo.
Basically same as you took me 3 mines and 3 temple. Lucky enough both wins were horde vs horde bgs and my team focused our inner alliance both wins.
Anyone struggling drink coffee and tell your boss you are coming in late monday because sunday night after 10 pm is the perfect time to get this done.
Do you have any PVP gear? It makes a substantial difference. Convert your justice into honor and buy the blue gear. Otherwise you are being carried by the rest of your team like this guy:
I was not looking forward to doing this part of the Legendary questline again. Fortunately got it done in two battles, (late night last Fri/early Sat morning).
I’m not really for a complete removal but can definitely see having alternate forms of completion, 2 wins, or x number of participation, earn x amount of honor as possible examples.
You can play like a 500 IQ genius and it won’t matter if the other 9 people on your team are drooling idiots.
It took me nearly 12 BGs just to get the two wins required for the quest. Absolutely awful game design and as long as it remains, I’m not doing this on any of my alts.
