Yup, basically all but a handful of people in my guild has quit running them and we are the largest guild on the server.
the devs have been complaining about flying since TBC. Why do you think they made Dragonflying?

Isn’t this what delves are doing? I mean you may be right that a driving motivation behind them changing the M+ entry point is to raise the difficulty of obtaining gear from the mode. But if it is true, it seems odd that they would then create a system that’s objectively easier for 5-mans to get that same level of gear, which can also be completed by any size group below 5 as well including solo.

Personally I think there should simply be more type of content. Why should M+ be the only way to do dungeons?
I really liked what they did with doti in s4 of DF with a m0 mode and a hard mode which would scale it to around +10-12 difficulty but without a timer and that felt more like a small raid.

Eh some dungeons were hard some werent. I didnt mind slummin low keys every now and again. Sometimes turbo nerding just isnt somethin im in the mood for.
The easy answer is just change the reward structure.
Honestly probably could solve a lot of problems. Idk if addition but subtraction worked here but like i said i havent had time to do a single key yet to see how bad it is with the nee xpac gear reset. S4 df wasnt too bad
Actually it was remix that killed DF S4.
Between the key squish and the horrible rotation of TWW S1 I’m really not shocked. Add delves to this and there is just no reason to bash your head against the wall that M+ can be.

I think Delves are a much bigger factor than people realize.

I’m about to chill and do 4 of them because it’s nice n…chill. I still make groups to make it go faster but it’s nothing like a M7-10 which is what I really need to be farming atm. I need more coffee and a real meal first. It’s definitely easier this week but some of these dungeons, phew.
Honestly if people are struggling with any key lower than 4 with how easy outgearing them is and how little challenge they actually provide I don’t think M+ is for you at all and please stay out of the queue.
The keys don’t feel even moderately challenging until around 7, and the jump up each level from there is significant.
10s feel right in line with what Mythic should feel like. Fortified and Tyrannical on keys should have always been default for M+ in general. The affixes just add some flavor.
