I’ve been dealing with some thing. You’ve changed to a male gnome, I see.
Kelfin are known to work with Makrura. Makrura are my favorite monster race (probably because they’re kind of a blank slate in the lore and I like to imagine), but I’d take some Gil’goblins in the meantime. They don’t seem as obsessed with profit as regular gobs, just overall more pleasant to deal with.
Yea. Although I swap from male to female and back sometimes. The only reason I haven’t swapped recently is because I haven’t been playing much. Literally just subbed for the forums right now. Though I will probably be active later in the expansion. Thankfully I have a gender neutral name.

Its one of the parallels between goblins that I think works so well for them. They are the opposite of land goblins yet so similar in many ways. Goblins fight naga in the starting zone. The naga are like what the forest trolls were to the goblins at first. It would sort of be a ying and yang situation between goblins and gilgoblins if they joined. Although some say they think land goblins and gilgoblins could be friendly enemies kind of like how tauren and goblins are. Tauren are generally friendly with goblins because of faction affiliation, but they heavily dislike the way goblin culture is.
That dislike could potentially change to, Goblin culture could potentially shift a bit now with Gazlow at the head, and his whole ‘ethical and proper compensation for work/danger, with a profit’ motto rather then ‘anything, and I mean anything, goes for a buck, and everyone is expendable’ Gallywix
Yea. Its not like the unshackled don’t like treasures too. They just don’t seem as morally dubious and greedy about it. Similarly its not like all goblins are lacking morals and just want to blow stuff up. Gazlowe would probably welcome their interactions. Sassy hardwrench and most of the folks we helped in the starting zone I can all seeing getting along very well with them even if they think in many different ways. Also I am pretty sure that both gilgoblin and land goblins are in agreement that naga are very bad.
It’s a shame we didn’t get any answers about what the Unshackled are doing in Durotar at the moment. I still maintain some hope that something will come out of it in the near future. Preferably with Gilblins getting on the Horde side of that character creation screen.
Yea. They didn’t answer any allied race questions, but tbh I didn’t really expect them to so I am not to upset about it. As for the lack of customizations. I want them as an AR. Not a custom option.
While I am upset that they have decided to change their tune on Customizations, I am happy that the Kelfin will not simply be relegated to mere customization.
That would have been a great disservice to the race and the lore.
Kelfin will need their own unique racials among other things.

Yea. Even though I may enjoy customizations if they came out, I think it would do a disservice to fans of the race since there is a lot lost with customizations. Its been a while but I will be making more ideas as time goes by.

Thank you!
As always your ideas are most welcome. Always happy to see the work you do.
While I’m miffed about Blizzard of late, I do still hope to see Kelfin one day. I’ve got at least two I’d want to play.
PIERCED THAT NIPPLE!
I’m still hoping that the Unshackled assist Orgrimmar against the recent Scourge threat, which will result in them joining and the Kelfin becoming an allied race. I’m assuming by now, they might have adapted to be able to walk on land, but an unlock scenario could involve helping the Unshackled in general get used to walking around on land if they go the allied race route, as well as setting up shop in the waters of Orgrimmar which would have some really fun potential.
I’m hoping they won’t become forgotten and perpetually be waiting in Durotar for a chance to join the Horde officially.
That one is outdated now. I have a new one that looks much better.

Earliest there may be anything is at the first look of the next expansion unfortunately.
Awhile ago, I mentioned the Idoneth Deepkin, more or less a race of Sea Elves, from Warhammer’s Age of Sigmar tabletop game. I found a video review that goes through their Battle Tome, showing off some really beautiful artwork and photos of the models and such:

How is this important? A lot of aquatic aspects and designs from them would make for some really neat Kelfin and even Jinyu/Ankoan idea inspirations. There are even mounts and such shown here. Honestly? Flying sea turtle mounts would be pretty awesome to see in WoW for both in sea and in air.
I figured it would be neat to share for some Kelfin idea inspiration.
Those are cool. Personally they seem more in tandom with Ankoan. Warhammer had some sea goblins, but I forget their names.
That’d be the Troglagob

Yea. Thats exactly what I was talking about. Although wow’s sea goblins look a lot better and less monstrous.
Aye.
Most of Wow’s races when designed to be playable or based off a playable race tend to be much more palatable.
Monster races are left for those who are just enemies. That said. The Worgen prove how that goes if Blizzard really wants to make one playable.
