All right, I couldn’t find good pictures of the Krait or Lagos from GW2 (Two other aquatic races from that game) but I did find a few more good looks at Quaggan homes.

Rather like their homes, and I think the Kelfin could easily make similar homes out of seaweed and driftwood.

The underwater bits of GW2 have always been amazing. It was designed with underwater combat in mind.
Unlike in wow where you drown easily in GW2 you have a breathmask slot on your toon and your abilities change to fit.
Wow could really take a page outa that book and expand underwater setups… even making travel not as… messy as it is now.

It saddens me that Vashjir has no day and night cycle. Seeing that zone during night would be cool.

Work in progress. I still need to add more details to it and make a scene with it.

Still looks amazing with the new skins you made.

My idea for a scene would be some sort of deep sea area that is dark with only a few bioluminescent element seen. Other ideas for cool scenes I want to make:
- Vim being carried by A sea Giant.
- A visualization of what kind of home they could make in Orgrimmar for gilblins. They could have some kind of alcove, cave or reef besides orgrimmar that they hang out in.
- I think seeing poen riding a shark would be cool.
Lots of possibilities.

If you use Inky Black Potion in the Underlight Canyon area of the Abyssal Depths, you can get a glimpse of what a deep sea night could look like. It is the only region of Vashj’ir that I am aware of with such striking bioluminescence.

Amazing! Thank you for that tip. I am going to give that a try sometime. And yea. In my an earlier post when posted those two gilgoblins resting in a clam, I used a green version of those kelp stalks you see.

Oh wow. I’m gonna have to go see that for myself.

It feels like that one mission hobart takes you to the deeps.

Been thinking about other somewhat water based races I can find (And I wont lie I lean heavily to GW2) and I wonder…

This is a Kodan ship. They’re half iceberg, half ship. They use them to flee a dragon and its armies pushing south.
The Kodan are a polar bear like race native to the northern seas of that world.
What if a Gilgoblin tribe lived out round Northrend and built something like this? Be neat to see!

Reminds me of northrend in some ways.

They need to do a more exotic pass on customizations after doing the basic stuff. Each race should get options that give them some sort of spin on powers or themes. Like goblins getting gilgoblin options, blood elves getting san’layn options, or draenei getting man’ari options.

If they make good use of bioluminescence that would be a great way to make them distinct. Also body patterns and tatoos like I’ve shown in some of the art pieces I’ve posted so far.

All three of those races are ones I actually feel should be AR’s since their racials would not be like the races they’re attached to. I get some just don’t want more races that on the surface are reskins… things like that though just cheapen the races…
Like Wildhammers have been cheapened by losing their culture and racial possibilities.
Moving past that though…
Gnomest sent this along!

From Warhammer. Effectively sea goblins! Very neat to look at and as its a setting I really like it was amazing to see that they have something like Gilgoblins there!

I’d definitely prefer a full blown AR for Kelfin, but I’m tempering my expectations to reduce disappointment

Now, there I can not blame you.
