I suspect they’re not as intelligent as land Goblins.
They’re clearly not beasts though. They’ve got culture, plans, strategy, and compassion. Plus they clearly tame snapdragons and waverays.
Not to mention magic…

I am happy they probably weren’t created by Hobart tbh. That means they can be sort of an independent race with lots of lore and backstory.

I would love this! The druid forms however, are a little bit iffy. I do like the mermaid one, though. Maybe for the cat form it’s those like fish cat dog things they ride? The moonkin is pretty good, but the tail just isn’t my thing. For bear form… oh jesus, how about a shark. For flight form, I am clueless.

Some of those druid forms weren’t exactly designed to be druid forms to begin with. It was for this other project I was doing. The mermaid from and sea dragon, moonkin form I think work well. However the others ones I am going to be coming up with something else later on.

Not sure about the bear. I think shark also works as a swim form, but I like the mermaid better. How about some kind of giant crab?
Kinda like this. Ik this is a bit on the uncanny side. Try to picture this like what it would look like as its professionally done model. This one is currently using a bunch of model pieces mish mashed together. You can see what I am getting at though.

I really do like that coral ancient idea, and the crab thing is good. I think it would be more shape-shifty if it was a full crab, though. Just ideas, of course.

Ya know it occured to me. Those and sea giants would also make a good mount. Imagine vim riding a sea giant for example.

On my to do list:
- Octo like hair with suction cups.
- 3D versions of those mounts.
- A unique dance animation. Maybe unique sleep animation too.
- Gif of Vim riding a sea giant.
- More tatoo/body detail ideas.

That piece of art has a whole bunch of things that could be considered very nice custom option for gilgoblins. The circular tatoos/body details. The frilled fins. Notice it also has blue eeyes with a black outline. That hairstyle could also be new. And an absolutely amazing outfit all round.

Sad part though is that such an outfit would likely be unobtainable in game since we can’t customize bracers, necks and some of those just aren’t there. It is however still very nice to look at.

I do have these. The first one though is very questionable as to whether they would have tentacles like that. Adding armor to them wouldn’t be hard at all simply to show what it would look like. Take note though there this model has a whole bunch of issues that aren’t sorted out and I actually have to start over with this one because I actually deleted a whole bunch of important rig bones and it is now distorted when trying to animate it. The female gilblin models you’ve seen me most though are pretty darn good for being a touched up gilblin cata model. Also the male one doesn’t look exactly how I kind envisioned them to look ideally.

I just hope they didn’t make them a customization option because they have AR plans for them! Maybe they wouldn’t be the same without aquatic racial abilities?
