See, I had forgotten about that because it never even phased me. That’s typical medieval-style fantasy of conquering a given location (even if we still do it, and just ignore it, in modern times, irl).
Though, speaking as Alliance, Sylvanas may want to beware a group of rogues who have been denied payment. Seeing as how she had the Horde incinerate it.
The point is even before Teld, the vaunted good boy of the horde was willing to do some shady stuff. Despite the fact I’ll still point to the “Incinerator Squads” as laughable cartoonish, the point still stands that nothing the Alliance realistically does to the Horde is actually bad. The Horde are by and away the complete villains and people don’t talk about doing morally questionable thing against the legion or the old gods because they’re the bad guys. Why should the alliance for the Horde?
I want Tyrande to do something wild and save us all from this weird why can’t we be friends story (complete with Teldrassil’s burned husk in the background). This is the woman who decided to kill a bunch of Wardens because they were in her way and then justified it by basically saying “I do what i want, I’m Elune’s chosen”. I can’t imagine she’s going to have much restraint when dealing with her enemies rather than her own people who are just in her way.
I’ve been confused on this since the pre-patch. Teldrassil is the third attempted genocide Saurfang is culpable in. On almost the exact same vague prognostications that caused the Orcs to go after the Draenei. Like… this is really the guy Blizz is going to try to push as the moral backbone of the Horde (before suddenly changing tact, and now Baine is the best of the Horde)?
It’s like I said way up the thread. The Horde has some kind of odd, immersion-breaking protected status by virtue of being playable. One the devs forgot to install in the equally playable Night Elves.
I want all of this, too. But, we all know by the time the Boy King finishes his gentle ministrations on her, she will be the Avatar of Elune’s Patience.
YOu’d also think zug horde would stop trusting visions after what happened with Ner’zhul, yet here we are. My favourite is well known, but I’d still prefer Sylvanas over Saurfang because at least Sylvanas is honest about being a monster, I can respect that much more then hiding behind a buzzword that changes meaning as regularly as the Horde changes Warchiefs.|
As for the playable stuff, if it’s any consolation they’re also not extending that offer to the forsaken when they rip out the pillar figure of their culture after rewriting said culture to make Nineteen Eighty-Four look like a vacation. Post BfA they’re going to be the Horde shameful tag alongs that they can’t remove because playable. Night elves and Forsaken both are just vehicles for the heroes of the story to have something to unite behind (Teld) and an easily hateable enemy to fight. Also the race is doomed to die because once Sylvanas goes, the val’kyr go.
No it was the same frame of argument.
The war was without honor and the simple fact that Saurfang did the bare minimum does not absolve Saurfang or the Horde from what happened.
How you choose to pervert my words and interpret them in that is advantageous to your position and accuse anyone that does not subscribe to it as an accusation of THEM “changing” the frame of the argument is completely and wholly on you.
I do not appreciate this little game of yours and if you want to have a constructive and fun conversation between wow lore fans I strongly suggest you change your tune.
Treng is unironically right when he says the war wasn’t without honor. Had the WoT gone actually to plan it would have been a relativity quick and clean war with nothing really dishonorable being done.
And look at my character, then look at Treng and tell me we agree on things.
::Zhogal gets objectively proven incorrect.::
::Tries to lie more and accuse someone else of being biased, while telling lies to defend the Alliance in every encounter.::
The war and the reasoning is sound, it wasn’t until the Tree that things became awful. There’s also nothing done in the War itself that isnt standard fair, again discounting Teld.
As discussed earlier it was the same sort of mentality that caused the draenei war and it is pretty much Daelin’s reasons for attacking the Horde in WC3.
I have decided to just skip over your posts. It is clear you post nothing but confrontational and toxic commentary. If this is a therapeutic exercise for you enjoy yourself but I have no obligation to submit myself to your rants.
