It should be enough for you people that she’s been ruined as a character, the entirety of Forsaken culture got retconed so that anyone that supports her is deluded or wrong and gets killed for it, and that shes going to be humiliated by the conquering heroes.
I liked her before this i wish they hadn’t changed her or the culture. I kind of wish if after arthas was killed shr started to show real compassion fir her people instead of being shown as this uncaring thought policing tyrant.
I mean, would that change much? That’s already how the Forsaken seem to be written.
And perhaps she only has power over Forsaken souls. Or she can only aid Forsaken necromancers in re-raising slain Forsaken - doubling down on her importance to them without making her that useful in conquering new land. (Or at least not be a new powerhouse, just reinforcing what they already have.)
Well they did, all so people can feel good about beating an irredeemable villian thats a better fit on saturday cartoons then in wow and you all get to laugh when you loot her, so maybe let people just have their what if hypotheticals?
You can hope all you want and i can hope her plan is to possess the world soul of azeroth.
And I’m not going to jump down your throat for it, so extend the same kindness.
The question was if Sylvanas fans liked the idea, not reeee at them for saying yes.
I was giving you my opinion about how to many because of hiw she is written it just feels like she is getting off lightly or actully winning just on another plane.
That wasn’t the question though was it?
Depends on the fan i would say i am a fan of her from before and i am not happy with it.
I don’t like the way they took Sylvanas’ character either, but the way they’ve ruined her character in BfA isn’t doing anything to make the Alliance feel better. She killed a bunch of our innocent civilians, and we’ll likely get an uninspiring revenge (perhaps delivered only through a tweet, like some past victories) that requires the sacrifice of even more of our dwindling populations. That doesn’t taste like victory to me.
The most the Alliance can hope for in this story is to get rid of the Horde warmongers and hope that the writers will let it stick this time. The rest of the Horde can be excused in some way or another, but Sylvanas was the one ordering the Burning, the one itching to go kill the Alliance and raise their corpses, and she’s the one that all Alliance leaders are being written as blaming. Even if this arc isn’t good for her, she was written into it, and she has to be written into some consequences for it.
That’s why I’d like to find some middle ground that lets the Alliance get revenge on Sylvanas or at least some closure for this war arc, without causing too much more pain to the Horde.
Then maybe respond just to the question as a former fan, not to me directly.
I am responding to your idea as nd exapling why it does not feel satisfying with her current actions.
Yes, they did. You specifically agreed with Tyrande when she said that the War of Thorns had no honor.
Why not respond to the actual question and not to one fans opinion of said question?
Because i replied to both wuestions asked in this thread abd by responding to why i think your solution is not satfying i sm responding to the question
Just saying no explains nothing
They’re both Humans, though. Even if Genn is gross and corrupted, unlike his perfect kin.
Tyrande stands no chance.
The same Horde that’s about to have all their atrocities scapegoated onto a single person, and sidestep all responsibility for a second time in less than five years, in-universe?
100% agreed.
I agree that it sucks for the Alliance and most of all for the night elves. I’ve always been of the opinion that Teld didn’t happen because it made sense, it happened to be a big horrible plot point that the heroes can tell the villian was bad, like Anduin in captial City, and tell each other it was bad, like Jaina and Thrall.
All sides get screwed in this, but you have my guarantee that at the end of this your side will be laughing over the sparkling corpse of Garrosh 2.0 while Anduin and Baines friendship powers fix everything and the other will be out a beloved character.
Also agree. While the idea of Sylvanas growing to include the Horde as a whole in her “my people” arrangement is good on paper, Blizzard was never going to let an amoral character be Warcheif and this not happen. They should have gone with the original idea of Vol’jin peacing out to gather allies and her serving as interim Warchief then very happily giving the position she never wanted back to him when he returns if they were 100% fixated on having her have that Warchief title for a time.
I’m still worried that they’ll try to pull an Illidan 2.0 and explain why those cowering civilians totally had to die for the Greater Good ™ and Sylvanas was right all along. Or something equally surprising-but-not-in-a-good-way.
