The Horde bias in this game is disgusting

I like Alliance but it’s tough playing it when these devs favor Horde every chance they get. In Shadowlands can we at least PRETEND to be impartial?

No, no we can’t. Also, everything is fine and Sunday is tomorrow.

Remembers canonically Alliance won basically everything or there was not a winner for the exceptions in BFA

Mmm, popcorn.

Considering we team up all the time, I’m supprised blizzard even pretends the Alliance exists anymore.

Picking an Alliance race basically labels you as “Side Character”
Your job is to follow the Horde around, and then Team up with them against the big bad.

Of course. The Alliance always wins because the core of this universe cannot even function without Alliance characters being there.

The faction is overpowered as hell, and needs to be written incompetently for faction war expansions, which is why it’s a dumb concept to base an expansion around.

They stopped trying to pretend in BFA.

I really liked the BFA alliance story.

Nom nom nom. Always good popcorn.

I hate how Night Elves are treated, they’re meant to be wild and would’ve fought tooth and claw against Sylvanas. Instead they scared her goonie and pushed the subject under the rug.

It’s the end of the world as we know it…

and I feel fine!

I still don’t understand how professional writers thought it was good to introduce the whole Night Warrior thing, toss in Malfurion and still have Tyrande lose against Nathanos (in the current version he escapes but in the original he actually defeated her, until so many people complained including the red shirt guy writing an article about it and they fixed it a bit).
That goes beyond just bias, is basic storytelling done absolutely wrong. Introduce a new powerful element just so it literally changes nothing.

While elements like that can fail in good writing, they usually mean something for the story and then there is still something that happens to make the story worth it and have a fulfilling pay off. Here it was just introduced for the sake of it, so night elves could have dark eyes maybe.

Alliance won the 4th War, no? That’s the only consolation I have with Alliance treated the way we’re treated

If there is ever a genre of game where the term “it is what you make of it” applies, it’s the MMORPG genre.

I mean, I don’t understand why people have such a hard time making this game an enjoyable experience for themselves. Do they not understand how MMO’s work? Is trolling, purposely inconveniencing yourself and overall just being negative a more fun hobby than actually playing the game and focusing on what you do enjoy?

Why is it so hard for some people?
