The Horde: A Different Type of Heroism

Oh you and your pet Labrador can blow it out your rear.

stop making up lore to fuel your own outrage.
When did Garithos start killing kids?

I mean the definitely didn’t seem that violent during the Siege of Lordaeron I guess but I think that had more to do with the fact that the Forsaken have a track record of sucking hard whenever they have to fight someone who can fight back.

When did Gnomes stop?

Ah yes, a single Horde race’s main holding fell when a very dedicated, no holding back combined Alliance Army went to take the Banshee’s head. Truly a showing of how weak the Forsaken are to not be an army of demigods to stop such a thing.

And the whole game being about warfare of various sorts isn’t really fair to judge a race for their zones being in perpetual “come save the day hero” whenever questing is set to take place there. For crying out loud, Stormwind relied on a Rambo knock off to play out to save themselves from the Blackrock heading straight to their city gates, and Westfall toppled instantly to a Defias resurgence.

I mean, yes. The Alliance is so much more powerful than the Forsaken that they might as well be demigods by comparison. Which makes their decision to constantly antagonize the Alliance all the more ridiculous.

Their ace in the hole, the plague, was single-handedly defeated by one Alliance mage.

I’d make a joke about Dwarves and their track record when they’re not firebombing civilians and actually have to face actual warriors but

it’d go over your head :sunglasses:

Yeah, I don’t remember him killing any kids.

Funny to me the Forsaken are an unstoppable, terrifying force that are also paper tigers who can easily be pushed down.

Oh, I never considered them unstoppable and terrifying, and if anyone ever did, they don’t now. Nobody will ever be afraid of the Forsaken again.

Its players like him that I don’t think can handle a truly imperialistic grimdark Alliance.
If he gets triggered by random stuff like this, imagine him if Alliance truly did something real dark.

Gee it’s like you missed the whole point of my initial point. Which is obvious. Stop annoying people just for the chance at conversation.

Maybe role Red so you can stop being a pudgy little ish that hangs around machines too long, at least in game.

Given that the entire Forsaken army at the Siege of Lordaeron fell to like 5 tanks I can’t blame you for feeling that way about machines.

Absolute state of the faction conflict:
Horde players just trying to argue for some sense of moral parity between the factions at least pre-Cata, especially for the sake of feeling like they can actually like the races they are supposed to like.

Alliance players insisting on even that not being the case.

I think this is funny coming from a Dwarf.

Remember when Varian and like, a couple dudes strolled into IF, took your queen hostage, almost killed her, and instead forced a regime change, all while the city was on lockdown?

Meh, someone had to break the deadlock.

Believe it or not but one of the reasons I sympathize with the Kaldorei is because I love hiking in forests. But uh, not at night. Because nothing is scarier than being lost and alone in the woods at night. Try it sometime. Every nightmare you’ve ever had goes wild in your mind as you instinctually try to find the fire, the note of human civilization.

And I found that via freight train. And I’ve completely lost the point of what I’m writing because things but something something dark of the wood is the Worgen and dark of the path is the Forsaken but then the sun rises and turns out you were just jumping at shadows. But bears and lions actual concerns like Legion or something.

Idk. Something spooky something humanity.

Oh, I’ve been there. It’s easy to forget just how dark things can get at night. Even if you’re in a cottage or something the darkness can be absolutely oppressive if you dwell too much on it. Especially on overcast nights.

Not sure if it speaks more of Varian’s strength or Ironforge’s failings.

Man I went hiking in the UP, a path I walked since I was a kid. Very out of shape at that moment in my life so just leaned on a tree and fell asleep. For hours.

Never seen it in the dark. Because you can’t. Because with that thick line of trees there is barely any perception to be had.

Turned up two towns over, absolutely exhausted and became sick for about a week afterwards as I had nothing but ticks on my head (I’d fell and lost my hat) and drank a bunch of unfiltered stream water.

I attribute that to the weird noises I heard. Shrieking in the distance. Though more concerning, is I’ve since learned mountain lions make that noise. And while sightings were unheard of then, they’ve been spotted now. Moving closer to civilization as their prey is depleted.

“Nah don’t be silly it wasn’t ghosts you wear hearing. It was something much hungrier”
