Not sure on how girlie is an derogatory term while dude isn’t considering both have similar meanings just opposed to the gender of the person.

I don’t take girlie as an insult. I have been called a dude, man, girlie, even been called a b***h. I don’t find it insulting.
Thing is, everyone is different. You can think girlie is used as a pejorative term, dude can also be used as a pejorative term as well.
And the context in that the user that took offense was not being spoken about or to, and it was a friend.
And? What you find personally insulting does not change that being called a female dog or girlie are terms that are used in a derogatory sense.
Not really, you’re only saying such because you’re hard up to bat for anyone who wants high elves. Just like Lann is quick to laud unnecessary amounts of praise to anyone who wants high elves as well.

Thank you that means a lot, I’m a naturally sensitive person which is my own thing, but I have been trying a lot harder to see the good in forum posters from the opposite side of this argument. And the policing of speech I used in the context to someone I view on friendly terms did not seem in any way shape or form anything other then trying to grief me for no reason, and it did bother me because I always value conversations with you and felt it tried to seek the most obtuse reference of the word to make it seem I paid ill intent with it.

Because as a Blood Elf, I find those Alliance Elves still calling themselves High Elves to be extremely offensive. Why I gave up being a High Elf to honor the memory of all those that had died. Now there’s some group running around with the Name High Elves. How are poeple going to know what group I’m honoring with the name. Awfully hard to honor the memory of something that still exists. So them High Elves have made it so that all my sacrifices were for nothing. Everything I did, I did it for nothing. 
Oh, Gnomest was talking about Goblin Demon Hunters the other day, and how there jokes should be. I laughed hard at this one

Not that I’m against high elves, I think the high elf fans aren’t talking much anymore, seeing as all 3 high elf threads are lead by heavily anti OPs.
I do respect the few who are still here though.
I really do hope they’re eventually playable. Would be fun to RP with fellow quel’dorei or just actually see them as players rather than npcs.
