The gap between M+ and Delves

Oh yes.

Because we all know reddit and twitter are hallmarks of rational discussion. And completely reflective of the playerbase.

People are more likely to complain than talk positive. Human Nature 101.

If it was only delves itd be one thing. The entire PvE side of the game is being forced into M+ for progression.

Depends on your progression goals.

Now I am not saying raid shouldnt offer more. I have consistently stated that raid needs better gear acquisition.

Considering thats where Blizzard goes to get their information/communicate with players and not these forums it makes sense. These forums are bad.

If every dungeon you run is full of toxic people, that says more about you than anything else. I clear 10s all the time without any issues whatsoever, probably see one or two toxic people in a season. You get out what you put in.

You could say this about anything in life. Still arent forced to hunt to eat food.

You don’t need good gear for delves or open world.

Might as well suggest people clearing raids at lvl 11 next time.

All of these threads boil down to the same joke. These types of people want gear for gear’s sake. They don’t want it to make the content easier, they don’t want it to progress further, they just want gear like the big boys have.

It’s comical. If you like delves, do delves. That doesn’t mean it should inflate ilvl and create opportunities for people to look better than they actually are and expect carries in raid and m+.

Casuals got hold of delves and are screaming at everyone else to not take away their new toy. Not because they like delves, but because they get easy heroic gear. Notice how the conversations are only about gear, not the delves themselves.

Hop in my time machine and come back with me we would take you!!!

LOL we had a Shaman tank right up until we started the first raids. No joke. Big old Tauren.

The CC wouldn’t fly today, I know this. Neither would taking the shot clock out of basketball. But it is what we had to deal with. Spending an hour on one wing of Scarlet Monastery? Never again. It was a fun time though with a guild.

I’ve been around (off and on) since vanilla launch day and I basically agree with everything you’ve said here. The game was a lot friendlier because you had to surround yourself with friendly people that held similar goals in order to get anywhere. So based on that things kind of just fell into place if you put the effort forward.

I do remember getting left behind by my original guild and spamming chat in Org for dire maul west runs because my daggers sucked.

These days you don’t need to do that and I’m kind of grateful because I often find myself thinking “I’m so glad I never have to help that person again” at the conclusion of group content.

Finding a good guild made my vanilla experience for me. Not having a guild makes my modern retail experience for me.

I legitimately cannot possibly imagine what you think this has to do with the conversation.

You want to be with a group that isn’t going to bail, be toxic or troll keys this is the way.

You can’t control human behavior nor can Blizzard.

You can also try to get people to fill in for you in your guild too not just by making friends.

There are also m+ in game communities and discord m+ communities you can join as well.

Well generally, people on the forums dont know what they are talking about when it comes to challenging content.

Sure, there are some. But the forums are not a great place to discuss the intricacies of class/spec/encounter design.

I was there during TBC, and I was a meme shaman tank.

I wasnt invited as a dps shaman. But a meme tank that relied on others to do my job.

Yeah because it was horrible gameplay.

A lot of things are fun with a community/guild. I heavily suggest it.

You are starting to key in on his M.O.

Mythic + has always been the welfare gear mode handing out free raid loot, transitioning it into a mandatory mode for raiders is why people are complaining everywhere. That and the shrinking playerbase putting a splotlight on the toxic lifers.

It’s the heroic vault that they would feel “forced” to have as an extra option early in the season.

Doing high end mythic+ very often feels like this, playing with and communicating with like minded players and friends to formulate a plan and execute it. The rotations are harder, and the CC is being used during combat not before, but it evokes much the same vibe for me and is why I enjoy it so much.

The issue is delves are over rewarding for their difficulty.

That makes perfect sense to me.

I agree, which is why I avoid M+. Of course I’ve been called out at least once in this thread for not doing M+ this season and thus not knowing anything. lol.

“M+ is a constant state of people being toxic!!!”

–“Do you do m+?”

“No. Why does that matter!!!”

–“…”

I find the people complaining about m+ being constantly toxic end up being the toxic people.
