Blizzard said they were happy with where delve rewards were at, which is not a surprise since they overinflated rewards to bring more people into the new content pillar. They are quite-obviously padding.
M+ and Raiding gear is far superior to delve gear at the same ilevel (in diversity and proc abilities). And you get a lot more crests to upgrade in M+/Raiding than delves. Plus you can trade M+/Raiding gear to other members.
I fully understand your perception of the requirement imposed upon people in guilds they chose to be in and are asked to do to continue to be part of their CE group.
Again (1) 100% a choice to be part of that guild and (2) plenty of CE guilds ignore delves (not saying member do not run them, just not a requirement).
Finally, whether M+ is braindead or not, if it is still a requirement impose by the guild, then it is no different than forcing people to do delves - content is content. Hypocritical to think otherwise.
They probably wanted to confirm interest first before commiting a ton of resources to solo content. I expect we’ll get higher level solo content soon, but they’ll probably make it separate from delves. That way they can make changes to the more challenging stuff without accidentally breaking delves in the process.
During the interview, (now Senior) Game Director Ion Hazzikostas commented that while he was very satisfied with most elements of The War Within narrative, worldbuilding, Delves, and Warbands thus far, the team is going to focus on smoothing out pain points within dungeons and class balance. Specifically, addressing concerns of comparative difficulty between Delve tiers and Mythic+ key levels,
" Ion Hazzikostas, via Windows Central said:
On Mythic+, I think that this was a season of experiments. We changed the way affixes work, the way progression is structured, and we have been iterating based on feedback. A big focus for the team right now is to smooth out some particular pain points in specific dungeons, while also looking at class balance. We also don’t feel like we have a proper on-ramp into the system.
For a lot of players hitting level 8 Delves, you’re getting very powerful rewards at that point. When you look across from there to Mythic+, it can feel like there’s no point doing anything below a Mythic+7, and 7 and up is actually quite hard. If you’re someone without experience of dungeons to begin with, +7 is not the best point of entry, and it certainly wasn’t designed to be a point of entry, so we think some players are hitting a cliff wall. So we see a lot of people bouncing off that would have previously had a home in early Mythic+ tiers. So, for Season 2, that’s one of the big things we’re going to address there. It just wasn’t something we could change in the middle of Season 1."
The issue is specifically stated that the rewards of tiers 1-7 arent enough, and that causes an issue with people trying to onboard at tier 7+ specifically. They have not said they want to change delves in any way, shape, nor form, and all their talking points are about dungeons needing to be reworked or made easier for people to get into/getting better rewards.

Horrific visions revamp is already on the roadmap!
M+ and Raiding gear is far superior to delve gear at the same ilevel
Entirely dependent on the items in question, Spymaster? Sure that’s better than the candle on the head. Early trinket compared to the huge stat stick? Not so much.
Plus you can trade M+/Raiding gear to other members.
Only because items drop for the group instead of being guaranteed loot to the individual.
If this were simply about you liking delves, this thread wouldn’t exist. You just don’t want anyone to take the shiny gear away, even if you don’t need it for the content you’re doing
Your problem is that you are looking at this from your own skill perspective. For many delvers (at least the filthy casuals like me) we do need the current reward levels to consistently complete the content. A T8 still takes me 20+ minutes, and that’s at 610. And for my squishier alts I’m sure I’ll need higher just to complete. I don’t need delves as they are to drop Mythic track. I do think they should consistently drop gilded crests so I can fully upgrade the track they do drop.

Yes, and where does it say:
Also flatly said that they find the level of rewards out of delves and time spent in it to be exactly where they want it.
You are adding assertions to what was actually said.
M+ and Raiding gear is far superior to delve gear at the same ilevel
It’s not though… Have you actually looked at the candle or dagger trinkets? And the non trinket items are the exact same stat budget and equally can be converted into tier. There’s no difference.
Horrific visions revamp is already on the roadmap!
I saw that! I’m really looking forward to it.
If we could farm seals by simply re-doing the raid (for no loot only seals) how many people would do that instead of mythic plus?
“During the interview, (now Senior) Game Director Ion Hazzikostas commented that while he was very satisfied with most elements of The War Within narrative, worldbuilding, Delves, and Warbands thus far,”
Him being overall satisfied with delves and expressly not talking about nerfing anything out of it makes the implication that their happy with its current reward structure, otherwise they would have talked about it. They didn’t say “We think delves are over performing” they said “We think mythics are underperforming”
Someone performing poorly in easy content doesn’t mean that they should get the same rewards as someone performing well in difficult content.
I do think they should consistently drop gilded crests so I can fully upgrade the track they do drop.
Then they’d need to up the difficulty enormously, likely by adding aspects of difficult content Delvers don’t want to engage with because just tuning things up won’t really work when your only tuning knob is unavoidable damage.
I do look forward to seeing how this mode plays since I skipped most of BfA.

“Satisfied with most elements”. This doesn’t mean that they “flatly” stated that the levels of rewards from delves and time spent are “exactly” where they want it.
You are being either willfully ignorant or being intentionally disingenuous.
How am I clueless
You’re commenting on something you have zero experience or clue in.
Based on your responses you have no clue what raiding is like in this game.
Blizzard encourages these bad players into buying carries/gear for real money, so who cares if WQ/Delves gives an alternate route to highest level gear, at least these players are actively using the system, playing the game, and populating the world…

My having a “clue” about current raiding has nothing to do with the point. You are choosing to play a certain part of the game. Doesn’t matter if it’s raiding. That’s completely irrelevant. All that matters is the choice you made involves other people forcing you to do content you don’t want to do. By your choice.

I mean it’s pretty clear you have no idea what you’re talking about. Candle and the dagger say hi btw.
Finally, whether M+ is braindead or not, if it is still a requirement impose by the guild, then it is no different than forcing people to do delves - content is content. Hypocritical to think otherwise.
The difference is delves were specifically stated to not be required. The fact they are over rewarding for their content is why it’s a required content.
