Please repeat that but much slower. It would be a class based off of Engineering that now has the ability to be an active part of the game other than a pure supportive role.
I’ll be honest it would be pretty cool if professions got things that were viable in combat as skills. Like if engineers could lay down battle turrets, enchanters could temp enchant the tank to take more hits or improve healing received. Not sure what they would do for some of the other professions but it would still be cool and could be available to everyone.
Can’t wait for the necromancer reveal.
The sooner I can tell all the tinkertots I told u so the better.
Don’t be like that. I don’t want tinkers as much as the next guy, but I won’t revel in their disappointment if Tinkers aren’t added.
Also: If Tinkers ARE added they will give you the “I told u so” lol
Either way…both would be new and I would love to play either of them. New is always better. Even if I lean more Tinker than Necro.
Tinkers already exist through Engineering. Don’t think they’re going to make a class that a profession already does (even if professions have been essentially useless outside of creating pets/mounts).
If the next xpac is going to have Bolvar involved in it, and if we have to have another class like we’ve been getting every other xpac since WotLK, logic dictates it’s going to be Necromancer.
Let me ask again. Can an Engineer be effective in a Mythic plus dungeon/raid using only the things that an Engineer can make?
What if they don’t make tinkerer or necromancer, instead they release the Shadow Hunter.
I’m happy with pretty much any new class personally! Though I’m personally rooting for the Lich from the Chinese lean
It doesn’t matter if they can be effective. They already exist in game as a profession.
That I could get behind. I’d make a troll shadow hunter really quick.
It’s also relevant, if we happen to stumble upon Vol’jin in the Shadowlands.
Liches are more of a creature than a class, and would never get past the Chinese censors since Liches are supposed to be skeletal (and they already censor the Forsaken over there to begin with).
Because it’s a lame and weak concept.
Because we have enough classes in the game.
Because the current classes are in a terrible state and need more attention and work.
Because it would take developer time and resources that could’ve been used in the current classes, which as the previous point noticed, need some love and attention.
Because it’s already hard to balance 12 classes, another would make it even harder.
Because other classes like hunters and engineering already have some degree of tinker fantasy.
Here is the problem though. Necromancer has been pushed for a long time with nothing happening and even Blizzard themselves rejecting in favor to Unholy DKs. Even the magical end of a Necro is nothing more than a Warlock. Also this belief that any new class (let alone Tinkers) is going to be strictly Engineers…is backwards thinking. Why would they make a class for it to only do what a profession does? I’m curious is to how this belief came to be…like how does one see one thing and automatically fill in blanks with blatantly stupid thoughts on “what it would be” when no one knows if it will even exist nor what Blizzard plans to do with it if it were to exist.
Because you said so?
Do we?
Blizzard is a multi million (billion?) dollar company. They have the ability to make a new class (of any type) and fix any issues with the old ones. They have not lived in their Mom’s garage/basement in a while.
Again…multi million (billion?) dollar corporation.
So because of some people’s dislike and belief that a profession somehow is a class Tinkers should not happen? I get that people may not like it but ffs get a better reason to say they should not exist.
I never got this ‘it’s boring’ line that these people barf out there, like Engineering isn’t the most psychotic, insane thing in this game with like a million different stupid gadgets they could come up with just in the ideas stage.
It’s been a neglected profession for some time, sure, but as a full blown class it’d be insane.
I’m a bit scared to ask but…did you make this, or for some inexplicable reason did someone else make this?
Yes!
I can get behind that
I like that outlook. I don’t understand the competition around here with the added classes. In the end we should want ALL of them (relevant, lore-related, at least).
People say “but Blizz can only work on one thing, you’re taking my thing by wanting your thing!” That’s ridiculous. They’re a massive company who created a massive game, and had the free time to make entirely new franchises that all balooned into their own huge markets as well. They have the time and resources to do all the things we want, they simply choose not to. If we followed such a restrictive line of thinking, then how on earth did the original game release with more than one class?
I’m just reserving names for all of them, we’ll see what happens when it happens

I’m going to be pissed if they get their thing and I don’t get mine.
I know they wont though…
