The Evolution of Creative Content in World of Warcraft

You can PR the crap out of these changes but I know I’m tired and many others of real issues being ignored as you pump out a smoke screen of corporate wokeness.

I wonder if the planned changes will include some additional versions of existing armor - additional versions, not replacements. There’s a lot of mogs I don’t use on my female characters because they are so radically different from the male versions. I mean to say - maybe they will add versions similar to the males’ while also keeping the existing versions for those who prefer them.

They’ve been lurking the GD forums, definitely explains a lot.

All the people saying “but im grateful for the communication” sound like abused children thanking their parents for showing them they were wrong to spill apple juice on the carpet

“so we don’t intend to change existing player looks or cosmetics.”

Sounds like our jokes and flirts are still in danger from this puritanical nonsense.

(By the way, it takes a lot for a progressive, lbgtq, feminist, BLM supporting, socialist, pro-union leftie like me to call something ‘puritanical nonsense’. Please, just stop, Blizz. You’re actively hurting any progressiveness you’re trying to achieve by riling up your playerbase and annoying just about everyone. Literally all you have to do is treat your employees better. That’s it.)

Edit: Ookin’ called it.

Good job Blizzard, you fixed sexism by removing women from the game and covering up their bodies

I for one would like to see more communication and dev posts, akin to the old dev watercoolers, about changes and thoughts.

At this point just add a stable type thing for warlocks to choose their minions and same for death knights. Its way past time that they get the options to choose their own pets

Obviously the best people to discuss diversity, inclusion, and equity are a bunch of white men in California

Communication is counter-revolutionary, comrade!

They address this in the blog post idk if you read it

When will Blizzard remove Orcs and Trolls for being racist caricatures of black people?

And don’t forget about Tauren… you guys are definitely punching down on natives

Yes I read it. We also don’t know their plans. And no indication they were going to customize the experience per player/UI instead of changing it for everyone. The glyph is the only thing that is close. So yea, I’m worried about what’s coming next.

They said innuendos would probably always be a part of wow. They also said armor and customizations aren’t changing.

After they’ve gone through the woke filter?

How do you know that some of the things changed weren’t “jokes” put in my devs targeted at certain other devs? Like what if a Blizzard artist painted that loungewear-almost-naked picture and told a female employee he modeled it after her? This isn’t something that Blizzard would ever state outright, but it would certainly explain why these changes feel so arbitrary.

And yet they remove emotes that have been in the game for 17 years? Not as severe as an innuendo IMO. And unless they are censoring /s and /w, it’s not going to have an effect.

Emotes often used for harassing other players which were replaced with much more positive ones. Find a better argument.

I don’t feel safe playing this game unless everyone in azeroth is fully vaccinated
Why doesn’t Blizzard care about players right to feel safe??
