Actually I wasn’t aware of that. But I believe the statement still stands. They had a good bit of people that went Alliance for the gear and they had the intention to go back Horde. If their goal was to be World First then I think they wouldn’t have been too torn up if they felt they had a better chance on Alliance.

I’ve been saying this for years. And people who get salty about the Horde and Alliance werking together don’t have to. Easy peasy.

There isn’t one. The closest I could think of was limiting transfers to only the lower populated faction. This would stop the bleeding on the Alliance carcass that really has no blood left. Then you have to create incentives to go the other way, but all this sounds like a headache, so Blizzard will use their machete rather than a scalpel on the patient and just eliminate factions altogether which will destroy the game’s culture. Although funny enough, I guarantee if they eliminated factions, Horde would play mostly Alliance races.
Why is that?
Aesthetics. Kinda like Blood Elves(Alliance race) or Forsaken(Undead Alliance race).
Sounds like some Alliance dev bias that puts all the pleasing to the eye races on one side.
I play both factions (haven’t played Wow for the past 3 moths), but I do understand the frustration from Alliance players.
When you end up with one side seeming to be favored over the other it tends to upset the less favored bunch. Again, I have no idea how the Developers at this point in the games life span could fix this issue where it works out well for both parties.

JRR Tolkien did not write WoW. So nah, I blame the WoW devs. The playerbase does seem to freak out whenever the devs go against the classical fantasy ideals though.

Dem Alliance Elves sure do look perdy don’t they? As a goblin you should be trying to figure out how to make money off their beauty. Sale some hair and facial skin care products or something.

Played Alliance for most of Legion. Also, anecdotal evidence means nothing in statistics. I would like you to please try again.
In Uldir, the Horde closed it’s 100 (10/14/18) when the Alliance was at 12. In BoD, the Horde closed it’s 100 (3/10/19) when alliance was at 15. In Crucible, the Horde closed it’s 100 (6/15/19) when the Alliance was at 12 (and still has 58 open spots).
I was watching b/c x-realm mythic pugs opens when both factions fill the Hall of Fame, and I’m too entrenched on my casual server to transfer to a top 10 pop just to find casual mythic pugs within realm.

I’m really not sure why people think a faction war even exists at this point. You can tell us every expansion “Oh the horde and alliance are at each others throats again!”, but when we all know you’re going to inevitably say “now they must put aside their differences for The good of azeroth!” It kind of gets a little old.
There is no faction war anymore, only blizzard trying to force a conflict so purists dont complain about it. the “warcraft not peacecraft” defense makes about as much sense as void elves do.
