The day Classic + turned into retail -

You are correct on that. SoD is no longer a Classic version of WoW, and should be removed from the Classic moniker so we can get the Classic dev team refocused on making actual Classic experiences.

You the director for SOD? Work for Blizzard?

Main character syndrome detected.

I don’t think this change is any sort of “philisophical stance” they have as opposed to a misguided shot in the dark to maintain player engagement by reducing barriers to level alts.

And I don’t think it’s going to go as planned for them.

Why though? There was public outrage about having a wow classic only server by the playerbase. Its now a ghost town. Why should blizzard devote resources towards a classic experience when their own playerbase has shown them that they wont play it.

Do you not understand this lvl cap is only 3 months? And if you want to lvl anything else besides one class it will be tough with the qwuesting rate? Its not like the level cap stays for a year

Classic+ is content additions to classic world to fill in the gaps in the map. Maybe more playable races like high elves or ogres. Maybe some class balance tweaks.

Not more levels. Just more to do. Sideways progression.

The lead dev of SoD and Blizzard, who blocked Classic for a decade, mind you, are not part of the Classic community and are the unfortunate arbiters of what Classic is to be.

They added a damn paid level boost and deluxe edition mounts to TBCC. They are the antithesis of the Classic community.

The only good thing they’ve done is stick to no changes for 2019, and they didn’t even do that all that well.

This is something unfortunately engrained moreso in the devs, i’ve been praising them so far.
But suddenly they’ve decided to attack the very foundation they’re building on.
Very short sighted! To the handful of people that want this you will soon learn why you’re wrong.

It has been on its last phase for longer than the servers have existed. There is nowhere to play progressive Vanilla WoW. Hope this helps!

Are you trying to pretend like 2019 Classic didn’t have a massive community while it was live? We’ve returned to the wall of “no” already.

So in response you have asigned yourself as the unofficial director and all changes must be run through the aproval of you before hand.

It’s disappointing Blizzard doesnt recognize your rightful role as lead dev.

If they just listened to the players that Classic was created for in the first place, instead of Retail lovers who are taking a short break with SoD, the game would be good. That’s all.

But thats exactly what the playerbase asked for.

Im thoroughly convinced that what players want isnt a classic experience for them to play. Its a classic experience that others are FORCED to play with those individuals. Even if you did a retread of classic wow every year it would have the same small population that the current one has. Its because people dont want to play on dead servers.

Honeslty this is the post.

You dont mean classic players, you mean people who agree with you specifically.

Tbf, #NoChanges lost a lot of credibility when they started requesting things like spellbatching and leeway be kept into the game despite the fact that no one is playing on 56K Modems anymore.

We asked to only have an end phase server and have no way to play live progressive Vanilla? Gonna need a quote for that one too!

You really need to learn the meaning of “we”

Im not gunna tag the hundreds of posts that players posted asking for the server to not roll into tbc. You can go look at them though.

Pretty sure you missed the point.

We have plenty of interest in progressive Vanilla. Look how many pservers are adding new servers because they’re at capacity?

Don’t you worry, nobody wants you to join in if you don’t want to. I don’t care if they make these retail lite games like sod, just let me play Vanilla without the corrupting hand of modern development.
