This isnt everquest. Leveling was the tutorial. The game starts at max level. This has been stated by devs in interviews.

Not calling you out, but do you have a source? It just felt like they were super resistant to Classic in the first place, a shift in direction to having multiple different era servers seems like an over promise.

It takes half the time even without exp buffs because we’re killing everything in the open world with ease and solo’ing elites up to 3 levels higher than ourselves because we have Wrath/Cata levels of player power.

There’s no point in half measures like this. If leveling is a meaningless part of the game that they’re going to try to rush you past by design then they should remove it entirely.

…You mean the expansion that took away 80% of a character’s abilities while leveling and locked them all behind Artifact traits in the 100-110 level range and 2 expansions after the payed level boost was introduced?

Why do you think this is relevant to Vanilla Classic Era and its Seasons?

Probably because actions speak louder than words, and blizzard is putting in a 100% xp buff weeks after phase 2 release. Its almost like they are telling you what their stance is without coming out and saying it.

The vanilla WoW team specifically said that the world was the main character of classic WoW.

That’s why nobody is the chosen one, just a random adventurer living in the world.
