The day Classic + turned into retail -

Don’t do this. Just put a ` before and after your link. (Tilde button on keyboard)

Logs don’t tell you if players are from same account. Ironforge pro tracking logs tracks 200k, so again, why are they getting double the value?

Let’s see other games mentioned: multiple call of duty tiles, overwatch, diablo, mobile games, candy crush, - you really think wow player count makes up the majority?

I am not trying to make retail to be anything. I am suggesting the number I think make sense. I would be happy if retail was more popular as it would help bring more people to Era overtime.

We only have 15k raiders over in vanilla :stuck_out_tongue:

Activision has a seperate player count. Did you even go to the link? I swear you’re the worst person to argue with, you dont even look at data or facts or proof, you just argue and argue and argue

Again there is a website that makes it its purpose to use logs to count number of characters that raid. Their number 180k in last period: Characters raiding at least once from 13 February 2024 to 19 February 2024

https://ironforge.pro/population/sod/

If you think you know better, I’d love to know why you have 2x the numbers they get.

Yeah then I went to the link that the link linked, and after that i went to the actual report from that link.

And what I quote you is from there.

because the raid is runnable 2x a week. it’s on a 3 day lockout. how low is your IQ?

You people that weren’t actually around back then really need to shut up. WoW peaked in Wrath, lmao.

No idea man, I’m not the one who linked you the statistics. I just said the math could be there and it’s not not plausible.

No no no. That was BLIZZARD. Not activation-blizzard. Don’t convolute the two. They list different MAU for Blizzard, Activision, and King in those reports. Go look again.

What kind of wood are we talking about for these logs? There are all sorts available…

Yes so you said 2.5mil 2 weeks.

so that is 14/3 = 4.6 lockouts.
2,500,000 / 4.6 = 543,478 raiders per lockout.

So I ask again, why is your data more than 2x theirs? Are they wrong or are you?

This dude has to be a troll. Either that or his IQ is borderling single digit. I can’t even deal with him anymore, good luck. I’m going to go back to leveling my 4th alt on SoD.

Yeah I can’t sleep and I’m waiting for that glorious exp buff to level my next alt so I’m just here :person_shrugging:

Don’t worry Sa… I already “journeyed” on two.

Someone already answered you. Alts. Most people have 2-3 chars theyre running raids on. Ironforge probably tracks raiding accounts while warcraftlogs tracks every parse submitted. That is why ironforge is an estimate, while warcraftlogs is an exact amount.

i journeyed on 3. Man that Stocks + SM grind was fun

Yeah you are right here is the full table:

How would they track accounts? It says it on their site “Active characters according to raids uploaded to Warcraft Logs”

The latest retail update for DBM has 450,000 downloads.
