I disagree. I think a lot of the time they are pushing the envelope to see how little they can give players and how much they can remove that players want. They know people are going to object. The question is, how many players will be too upset. So they are ready to react if something blows up big.

Well that complaining made the fix happen. So if we didn’t say anything it wouldn’t get fixed. You want us to sit around and do nothing. Get off your white horse. The developers suck
I think this 100% They push people until they complain about their dumb systems and if a lot of people complain they will change it. Not enough then they leave it. That is how they listen to us and its crazy how people still defend them
They do check the forums. They dont post anything but they 100% check its been proven they do.
They do put information here and what they are working on.

I disagree that “complaining” made it happen. I don’t think complaining is a factor. The big factor is when people unsub over something. Lots of people were really upset, and it was probably a reflection of unsubs happening.
They dont care about subs. They make more money with the cash shop

That’s wrong. They may not report sub numbers. But subs matter. People who are no longer playing the game aren’t maxing out tokens to pay for carries.
Activision is looking closely at whether Blizzard devs should continue to control development of their games. A falling playerbase is probably not something they were expecting to happen when they were told that extreme monetization was going to bring in huge profits.

shudders in crafting thousands of cloth bracers to disassemble and actually making my item restore page unavailable because it couldn’t load the amount of destroyed bracers and then having to recraft my 475 legs 8 times and going broke in the process because the game wouldn’t give me vers crit

There really is no need to be personally insulting. You can express an opinion on something without attacking the person y’know.
Did I say they dont read the forums? I said they don’t post on them. Show me where any developer has ever posted on General Discussion please. There have been things like Chris Metzen’s farewell message but that a very rare exception.
As I said, the community personnel provide hot fix info and certain types of news.
So you are saying we should complain on wowhead because the devs listen to feedback there?

GC used to do it regularly in fact most of the old guard did, remember the watercooler?
They stopped posting, hell some used to come on and have fun with us, but that’s all way back.
Must be before my time, I don’t remember that, sorry. If it’s true it is sad because we need more input of that sort. I just can’t recall seeing it myself over the time I’ve been on this forum. Which admittedly isn’t as long as some people. I mostly just read things and search for info to help me with game things but lately felt like commenting. However the often nasty comments I’ve seen and the way some people attack others is starting to put me off.

I disagree with you. Yes we do. We also need communication from the wow team. It takes two to talk. When I want to talk to someone, I’m not a sit and wait for the other person to take charge. You can be and thats ok. But I like to do what I can to actively try to improve situations and there’s others who feel and do the same.

I dont agree that we should give up trying to communicate. Perhaps more and more who focus on doing this in a healthy way - that doesn’t include rudeness or passive aggressiveness and so on - will see a better outcome. (Not directed at you, im saying it in general.) Already there are other games who’s Devs are including things in their developer videos like “keep the conversation open” and so on. I do believe there’s change afoot but we don’t know enough yet and can really only either flail in the dark or keep trying. Im the keeping trying sort til I decide my wellbeing dictates I turn away.
