The "Bring Back" thread

This is coming from the perspective of a person who cannot think beyond their own self interests ^^^

Since most of what I’d like (or wouldn’t like) to see has already been listed, I’ll go with something a little different. Bring back the original, fully shaded, more dimly lit version of The Drag in Orgrimmar, including the purple glow emanating from the Cleft of Shadows. It was one of the biggest pieces of atmosphere in the entire city but was removed for reasons I still don’t understand.

  • Pandaria type scenarios.
  • Epic side story quests. Shady Rest Inn, Crusader Bridenbrad, Pamela Redpath.
  • Wrath era Alterac Valley. The perfect balance between long battles and zergs.

The Atonement discipline spec from early Cataclysm.

Scenarios would be awesome. I’ve said that my dream for 10.0 would be to include a large number of scenarios that explore all corners of Azeroth. People want to know what has happened to the world in the past 17 years. Scenarios that take us to the far corners of the world to explore small segments of lore and gameplay in older zones could be a lot of fun.

We could jump into a quest to take down a Dreadlord in Felwood, then afterwards match into a quest to explore the ruins of Stratholme to recover a missing Phylactery, then queue into a quest involving some Qullboar cult trying to resurrect their dead god, etc.

So much potential. You can really have a lot of fun with this and create a plethora of experiences to help newcomers really get the full view of what the World of Warcraft means.

And of course with difficulty scaling you can create Heroic and Mythic versions of the content to get better replay value of the content, to justify the expense. Would be a great way to create social content for a lot of players without having to abide by the strict requirements of M+.

Bring back removed quests, like the MoP cloak quests, the WoD ring quests, the BFA pre-expansion event quests in Ashenvale/Darkshore and the Torghast cinematics where you see the forging of the Helm of Domination

I would just like to see the questline for Stitches in Duskwood not be instanced anymore. While questing there I was always on the lookout for him to make sure I stayed far from him! And once I had leveled far above him I made sure to come back to slay him for killing me all those many times! Plus it was always fun watching him make it to town and run amuck killing everyone, and the guards!

I would like to be able to tame a pet I like the look of and use the spec I choose for it, like we used to be able to do.

Fun. Just bring back fun. Remember when the game used to just be fun and not a set of chores?

I’d for one love to see destruction warlocks get the portals we used to be able to summon in Legion that were either shadow, fire, or fel and just added to our overall damage per second. I mean the spec’s alright but I loved that spell and it made me feel like I was actually a threat in fights rather than having to spam the same old spells to do my damage

Bring back the need for crowd control and various strategies in dungeons and raids so that people are not just racing, pew-pewing non stop running all the way to the end.

Reforging.

The MoP and WoD Legendary Quest Lines… Why were these removed at all again?

As someone who has both a Legendary Cloak and Ring it annoys me I can’t go back and do those questlines again on different characters…

As well as their removal forcing you to watch YouTube Videos to see the PRIMARY PLOT POINTS of the expansions.

This omg I’d love to see this return as I got basically given the finger being either half way or close to finishing only for them to get yanked. As I am now on my main you bring back the MoP legendary cloak jobs and I’d finish them in seconds and make that darn dwarf in krasarang know my wrath for standing in my way before

12- Deleted legacy storylines, e.g, Wrathion legendary questline.

13- Legacy transmog should return as alternative rewards for next challenges.

That feeling when you are at the greatest New years party or achieved your IRL goals and all you can think about is playing WoW instead. I want THAT feeling back. We tried to help in the alpha/beta but nothing got through :frowning: maybe one day

Maybe its my foggy memory but the Cataclysm dungeons were like that, specially the Zandalari ones. I enjoyed it so much.

I get mythic+ is better for the game overall, but its just not for me. Pandaria dungeons were a lot easier to speedrun, they introduced the challenge mode and then mythic+ was born and its so fast paced… I dont like it.

First weeks for Karazhan, Mechagon & Tazavesh were fun for me.

What do you mean by Legacy transmog?

Thats just it. There is speed running and then M+. Not really any in between that I have seen. When 70 was the level cap for BC, Kara required some decent crowd control and strategy. There was no speed running.

Flying at max level
I actually liked class halls
Progression that is meaningful; not funneled
Terrain that is not an exercise in frustration
