Then all of those people need to get their eyes checked. It is, again, very clearly a cloth robe with ornamental pieces. It is not plate armor, regardless of how heavy the artist wanted it to look. Heavy and ornamental aren’t mutually exclusive either.

Things can be heavy without being plate, and golden decorative pieces definitely fall under that umbrella.

Riot has been full RTO since April 2022. I would take more interest that they now have the “senior” title in their new job as more reason.

The amount of people who don’t care about this game losing such a talented artist are why this game/community sucks. If you don’t even care about this game having great looking characters, gear, creatures, etc, why are you even still playing it? Why wouldn’t you care?

Did it ever occur to people that both Blizzard’s requirements and pay maybe on the low-ish side is because of the actual game being developed?
World of Warcraft is almost twenty years old with an engine to match. It’s a great place for a starting artist to get into the industry, but other, far more advanced games and developers will always offer more money because there’s more responsibilities.
If you say things like this, then you’re not allowed to post things like this anymore:
Maybe the story would be better written if Blizzard paid their writers more and they didn’t leave for better jobs where they could work from home. You’re not allowed to criticize any aspect of the game anymore if you are willing to accept that Blizzard isn’t going to bother to pay for talented people to work on it. You have to accept mediocre quality.

Personally I play for the gameplay I couldn’t careless about the art or story.
Art and story are part of the gameplay, there would be no Warcraft without the art and story. It would just be… Pong.

Someone still has to make those uglier graphics. Someone has to write a story to make sense of why that battleground/conflict exists. Someone has to make the graphics for your character to exist and write a story for why they exist and wear the gear that they do, especially if the rewards for doing that battleground are gear.
You probably care a lot more about art and story than you realize.

It could be the ugliest cheapest models and I wouldn’t care. You don’t need story for a capture the flag/capture the point BG it could just be red vs blue team and it would be fine for me.
Just need the bare minimum for graphics hell one of my favorite games of all time is the F2P version of Dwarf Fortress and that game has next to no graphics.
