The artist that designed the new priest tier set left blizzard

I don’t see how it’s selfish to call out hypocrisy, you can’t complain that you want the game to be better quality from one side of your mouth, and then talk about how it’s fine that Blizzard is losing talented people who make the game better quality from the other side of your mouth.

Pick a lane.

I would have missed him more if he made that tier set for paladins. I felt shafted when priests got the tankier, objectively better set.

Shame on the loss of talent.

I’m not crying! Someone is just cutting onions somewhere in this darn forum!

It’s selfish not to respect someone’s choice in improving their own value. Employees will leave Blizzard by the simple fact that developing for a twenty year-old game is less demanding than developing next-gen games.

Both can be true at the same time. Writers in particular are a special asterisk because they’re not confined by technical prowess.

Writers are judged specifically by talent. I will call out poor writing because its objectively poor writing. Pay grade means nothing. If you honestly think Christie Golden is worth every penny then I have a Bridge to Nowhere to sell you.

Sounds to me like all you care about is complaining about this game, but you don’t actually care about the people who work on this game who would make it better quality to quell your complaints.

Typical WoW forum poster mentality.

Because appealing to emotion is a waste of time. The people who work on this game agreed on their salary and the quality reflects that.

If you can’t handle criticism without bursting into tears that the person getting paid to produce said content might feel bad is a ‘you’ problem.

She try to make a heavy armor, you said people had something wrong in their eyes if they thought this looked liked a heavy armor.

Is this right or not? Because according to the artist this is a heavily armored set.

You keep trying to say only the gold stuff I’d heavy but that’s not it at all, the whole armor is made to look like a heavy armor, just grown up and deal with it

Of course, because if the game actually kept talented people working on it, then you wouldn’t be able to come here and complain about the game anymore. And you can’t have that, that would be so awful for you!

I said “it is not plate armor,” not “it is not heavy armor”

So by your own logic, the people who are currently working on the game are worse by default and therefore can’t be criticized because they’ll never succeed anywhere else.

What a very progressive ideal.

By all means, continue complaining about the quality of the game and then not caring when talented people leave or that Blizzard continues to push talent away. If you want to come off as a foolish hypocrite that just wants to complain that’s your own prerogative, I won’t stand in your way. :dracthyr_shrug:

So if you go down, at least you can take the rest of us with you?

This context only works if she took the exact same position at another job

Moving up usually means changing roles and/or taking on more responsibility.

There’s no true indication for why she left or what she left for

Im sorry, that was in poor taste. I was making fun of you for licking so much boot, and I was insensitive to you for your condition which was not my intent. I apologize for that.

You assume Blizzard is pushing people away out of malice. Why can’t you swallow the obvious fact that World of Warcraft isn’t on the same level as Final Fantasy Fourteen or any other game that uses more complex game engines?

Seems kind of childish, but as long as feelings aren’t hurt…

Uh, because I actually like this game which is why I play it, and I want the best for it, which means talented people working on it getting paid what they’re worth with good working conditions so they can give us the best quality experience? This isn’t a difficult concept to grasp.

I’m not in the Tech Industry, but these forums and others, have always led me to believe this is just industry standard. Jump ship to better paying jobs, rather then staying at a company for pay raises.
Regardless good for them, they were talented.

Damn, one of the few designers that moved away from the ugly cloth dresses. Unlucky.

They did such a great job that it made Pallys jealous. It’s sad that they are gone.

It doesn’t. I don’t know where people got this idea. The enormous belt, gauntlets, and shoulders and the 3D elements on the chest and legs scream plate, and the helmet is a barbute that looks like something a paladin or warrior would wear. Priests have never worn such a thing as part of their sets. Their helms tend to be hoods, crowns, collars, and miters, with some that do something different like their Dragon Soul set’s masked hood.
