The anger over the 60 days should be a lesson for Blizzard

Metrohaha, the MVP? YouTube?

They tried the 60 day thing once before backed off.

Blizz could give players a great game on a silver platter and fans would go “BUT I WANTED A GOLD PLATTER”

Really? How so?

Example

Fans: Man these esports are so dumb
Blizz: K lays off the folks that handled that since they’re not needed
Fans: HOW. DARE. YOU.

It means no matter what is done you can’t make anyone happy, they will complain no matter what.

You didn’t get the message that fans wanted Blizzard to stop e-sports?

I doubt they would have been this angry if Blizzard said they were closing the e-sports division so they had to let people go.

I wasn’t aware Blizzard is a charity where we should be begging on our knees saying “Thank you so much for giving us at least this”

They designed bfa dungeons for esport they pressed the pedal and rolled with it.
Havent seen current ones but would be surprised if it wasnt the same considering the vault.

And yet for days people made threads about it and how outraged they were that people got laid off.

Funny that.

Funny how you have no concept of understanding anything.

Fans: Esports are dumb

It means fans want the entire concept of Esports to be removed from WoW. Still find it hard to understand?

I’ll admit that some players seem like idiots to me.
BUT that is only because they think differently than me.

They are NOT idiots. They may be more sensible than me!
They may have experience or knowledge that I don’t have.

Or…

They will put on a smile and boast about record sales but if you do the math theyve lost out on billions over the years by losing customers.

And with esports removed from it, even then there would be no need for people to work in that department. So people would be fired regardless. We just skipped a step

No we didn’t.

That step is crucial.

It means: Blizzard fired people and still tried to keep the esports going. Which is what fans don’t like.

Why not close the esports division if what you say is true?

Yeah, I don’t get the concept how arenas and m+ is esports worthy. It’s kind of ridiculous.

Your “math” assumes that they could have kept all those customers, despite that fact that the players demanded DIFFERENT and CONFLICTING things. And despite that fact that countless players left the game for non-game reasons (jobs, marriages, children, military service – the list of reasons is endless). And despite that fact that MOST veterans get tired of playing the same game year after year, and quit.

So I don’t agree that ANY of this is Blizzard’s fault.

Actually the fault lies solely with Blizzard. They have deliberately made decisions in the game which makes it either hard for people to consume content or they have generated very little content and gone the way of designing mindless repeatable content throughout the last few years that people have quit.

It is their fault.

Because the concept of MVP on a general forum doesn’t make sense. It’s not a Q and A forum where the MVP is chosen on the basis of helping people.

It’s more for the company’s PR.
