The 2nd boss of Vortex Pinnacle is everything wrong with your idea of Mythic+ design

That’s easy to say as a Druid where Haste is exponential affecting all your spells.

This isn’t possible as an Preservation Evoker cause besides Time Anomaly which in fact doesn’t do much to that fight Any of the 30 sec CDs is reduced in any way and we have no spells to Spam like Chainheal or Rejuvenation.

So this fight doesn’t really fit Preservation while Shaman and Druids easily can heal through

that boss is piss easy

  • stand so you get a buff
  • watch out for the aoe, when it comes get in a wind and dodge it

whats hard about it?

I feel this way about a lot of complaints now. 2nd boss VP is just fine mechanically, it’s just a lot of damage to heal through right now but healers also have terrible gear so it will probably sort itself out in two weeks.

Blizzard did a good job fixing the most egregious stuff earlier this week. Right now I think NL has some sore spots on the last two bosses, but otherwise I like where M+ tuning is right now and I look forward to playing more of it.

(Fortified tuning will probably be a mess, but they ought to have that sorted out in a few days just like Tyrannical)

I don’t love Neltharus, but you can’t tell me with a straight face that the tuning in there is worse than Neltharion’s Lair was last Tuesday.

I’m not saying it was worse than NL, but its tuning right now is now pretty far out of whack with everything else.

I agree 100% with everything he said.
This games’ concept of “difficulty” is so skewed.

90% of my failed keys were literally all due to healers not being able to keep up with the constant unavoidable ticking damage.
This is insanity.

The last boss Dargul is also bad too. That Charskin mob he spawns with a new mechanic deals like 30k per step of unavoidable AOE to the entire party on like 13+ key.

neltharus is way worse than NL was early on. At 14 the dungeon becomes do perfect mechanics or be one shot. And on a Fort week its going to be an absolute nightmare. Its also very easy to overpull trash and cap early on % without invis pots.

I hit 2700 in season 1, I dont heal youre right but guess what! There is this nifty little thing you can do with the air current that makes you pump your spells out faster if you stand in the right direction! Always happy to help out a noob :slight_smile:

No one should be running keys. Mythic+ is a horrible addition to the game. It doesn’t fit. All M+ does is further foster an incredibly elitist and toxic community. This is not an eSport, it is an MMO. Mythic should be the last difficulty for 5mans and it should be queueable.

Eh, I’m enjoying them (aside from bugged bosses and such that need some attention). They give me a path to play at my ability level with the potential for meaningful upgrades every run. My biggest regret upon returning after sitting out BfA and SL is not trying M+ sooner. I assumed raiding was the path to getting geared up, and suffered through LFR for weeks before having enough gear to run normals. Didn’t set foot in a m+ until S1 was nearly over because I listened too much to ppl’s gripes about the seriousness/toxicity of it and assumed I didn’t belong there.

Are…are you ok? Mythic plus dungeons are fine and while some players get an eliteist attitude it isnt all M+ groups. There are players that welcome the challenge, all M+ does is show your group if you have the damage and knowledge of your chosen class and spec to handle the difficulty.

If you want a truly eliteist community look at the pvpers. I main ret paladin which got a rework and thanks to the pvp community basically being 15% of the games total roster, im nowhere near as strong or relevant as I used to be. This is the same community that also has an item called “The Flag of Ownership” it doesnt give you a buff for using it, you dont recover your CD’s or HP. It simply exists to stroke a pvpers ego and narcissism, thats all it does. Mythic groups dont have that

no. you’re not. it’s as simple as “stay upwind, jump in circle when time”

it’s insane that people think this boss is that hard.

maybe “upwind” has too many syllables.

the thing is, with proper positioning, he doesn’t take any steps at all.

if the entire group stands in melee on the left side of the boss, the add will spawn on a wall and be near-immediately stunned.

Big buffs like this also favor some classes massively over others, further skewing the meta to those classes.

The tornadoes should do like 1/10 the damage they do, but should give a debuff that makes you take 1000% more on the next hit, so you are only allowed to get hit by them without penalty every few seconds (as in, to do the mechanic).

The wind should also only be active like half the time with a warning for the direction so you can move before it starts

Using cata dungeons in M+ sucks to begin with.

The original Legion M+ allowed you to kite him and if you allowed him to move too much it became dangerous. If the charskin caught his prey it was bad for the party.

Right now even allowing the kiting of even a few steps is dangerous. It’s sort of absurd that if you don’t bait both mechanic spawns ontop of each other it threatens a wipe in low teen keys.
