I’ve DPS’d an 11 on my monk and only healed a 5 so far on my pally and shaman, but I do think at 20+ it could be ridiculous on tyrannical.
I disagree with your overall take relating to M+, but I do think unavoidable high-ticking damage should be limited a bit more. If your tank is in the middle and you save a CD for the updraft, it’s not horrible, but again…I’ve only done a 11 at most.
Personally, the actual mechanics of the fight are enjoyable to me. Straight forward, but you can mess up and die pretty easily due to combined damage.
Or. Or. If he’s already timing a 20 week 1… Perhaps in 5 vaults when he’s insanely more powerful it’ll be a joke
It’s just a numbers / durability check; which isn’t exactly foreign to the game. It’s making sure dps are putting out the necessary damage to end the fight before the healer goes oom, as well as testing the healers ability to maintain healing consistency without burning through all their mana in 1 minute or less. It’s also forcing players to intelligently rotate any and all defensives they have to help with sustainability, and there are really only 2 mechanics (1 stay upwind side, 2 step into tornado before expandy circle touches your booty). It’s definitely one of the easier boss fights imo.
It just happened they nerfed inc Damage by 25%
There is nothing wrong in saying the truth, grow up
Not to mention Vortex Pinnacle is getting a 75% damage increase next week.
I find if I take a bit too much damage, it affects my DPS dramatically.
what kills me is on the second boss the dragon tanks are spinning and movign the boss constantly when the winds havent shifted or turning the boss towards the dps and effectively wiping them

I mean…
That’s the fight you’re worrying about?
This is my least favorite part and only complaint really. Being punished for doing a mechanic correctly is trash design.
i know this is an older thread this boss killed any desire i have to tank or heal ever again. even after understanding it, i just dont like it, you have to make yourself useless in the air for like 5sec on top of taking a pretty nasty bit of unavoidable damage from getting knocked up. oh and if the breath targets you mid air? your dead, done, nothing you can do about it.
