That one server

You do understand that if enough minority faction players leave your server, you will effectively be on a PvE server yourself.

The sound of one hand clapping

Has no one actually said the magic word yet? He who should not be named?

Nostalrius!

If they care AT ALL about faction balance, it’s up to them and them alone to fix the problem.

Rerolling doesn’t solve the problem, it makes the imbalance worse.

If anything, the dominant side should transfer off until the ratio evens out or close to it which I know sounds asinine but if players care about balance. They would.

From what I’m observing, the dominant side likes their artifical PvE server. They don’t want a challenge or a threat.

As for me, I decided to stop leveling. I am in no hurry to get to lvl50 zones just to be camped by the dominant faction thirsty for honor. I’m having fun where I’m at.

I mean… BGs kind of are a faction specific queue…

wpvp is not fair or balanced. it never has been. and it wont be at any point in the future. blizz had to make WM in retail to save alliance players stuck on pvp servers. nothing like that will come out in classic. if you don’t want to get camped your big option is to reroll pve. if you want balanced pvp it’s a dream and will never happen.

It’s not specifically their job but it should be advantageous for Blizzard to help make things better for the Minority Faction. You know…like allow them to log into a server to even things up instead of being held up by a queue consumed by majority faction members.

Faction imbalance was addressed by the players, rofl. It’s a people problem that technology isn’t going to solve.

most servers don’t have queues anymore. you’d be making an artificial queue to keep horde out and more alliance to be on to make things “fair” but it would screw over the horde players because they might not be able to raid if they didn’t foresee the queue issue on the wrong day. which there goes all the horde subs. what you should do is reroll pve because that’s free. quit trying to ruin others play experiences with selfishness.

It could and I hope Blizzard tries at some point if things remain how they are.

Never in the history of WoW or private servers has one faction become unplayable past a certain point.

That is some seriously biased bias there.

Maybe servers will even up a bit if that’s all it takes.

ROFLMAO

Irony.

have you ever made an alliance toon on illdian horde pre-WM? what you’re saying is just not true.

This may need to be reworded to, “One single player cannot go pick herbs in a contested zone in front of 15 players of the opposite faction.”

Let’s get some context here.

i don’t even have a toon on a pvp server at all. i rolled pve specifically because i was a slow leveler. i didn’t roll pvp knowing what would happen and then cry about it. if you had been on retail at all in the last decade you’d have known pvp servers were mostly horde.

There 100% should have been a faction cap for every server at around 5-6,000 accounts. Hit that number no more account s creating toons.

No, the problem is that most players simply don’t want to PvP as Alliance. Any efforts Blizzard takes without substantial gameplay changes and racial rebalances would simply be a band-aid on a sucking chest wound, and WILL cause further problems.

Why not? This is a problem caused by players not wanting to PvP as Alliance. Unless something happens that makes Alliance players actually want to PvP in numbers they haven’t shown in a decade, then there’s no solving the world PvP issues, except turning all servers into Normal servers.

Yes, that is the only solution that will actually help the situation, without causing more knock-on problems.

The best solution? Make all servers Normal servers, and let people flag or not as they please.

this thread is so… wow. alliance are not the pvp faction in classic horde is. so instead of rerolling to a more enjoyable experience on a pve realm these people would rather make the horde wait in super long queues and not be able to play for hours because there’s no alliance wanting to play. and then think it’s somehow selfish to tell them to reroll. lmbo.

Then you don’t understand the problem and are just being a contrarian…which explains the lack of perspective.

It’s frustrating that all of the spots ingame are taken by majority horde to the point where countless alliance cannot log in to even up the numbers because all the spots ingame are taken by horde.

wait for bgs if you think that will fix it. or reroll. or unsub because the game isn’t “fair.” which blizz never said it would be. the pvp servers will never be balanced.

Why isn’t it their job? It’s their job to give us an enjoyable game experience and they also want people to stick around and keep paying their subscriptions. So not only is it their job, but they also benefit from keeping the factions balanced.
