I bought the set of level 60 armor that was 376/379 ilevel so I could level up on my days off and you bricked my character when you raised it to level 70… I don’t have items I can even equip now

See? 379 is absolute trash item level for a 70, why would anyone think that is “end-game gear”?

And when you had it, you had fun, because that’s what item level you should have at 60, I’d still go to 385 with the for gear for LVL 60s.

Well, the 379 gear isn’t meant to be top-end level 70 gear, which I do hope people understand. It was meant as catch-up gear for level 70s, which was nice to use on my low level alt, for sure. I also have a lot of the stockpiled gear from the island of misfit toys I can use at level 70.

As per my fun, sure it was a short-lived fun time, which I knew wasn’t going to last. I mean, it completely made doing any content from normal to heroic dungeons meaningless.

You really should just quit the game. Blizzard does stuff like this all of the time in some fashion or another. They’ll never learn. They don’t QA anymore, and heaven help them to actually use a spreadsheet or a calculator.

Yall broken records keep saying obvious bug/exploit but bugs and exploits get fixed… They don’t release catch up mechanics expac after expac…

But got dang I should have known this was a bug even though that wasn’t a bug and they never nerfed that especially after multiple patches… expacs… where they release random catch up mechanics like this gear

Wod was almost 10 years ago… the fact that you have to look back a decade to find another example of this is not a point in your favor lmao.

If there is gear in the game that lets people have 3x the HP in PvP, and just walk thru dungeons super fast… of course it will get nerfed. They nerfed twinking, both in PvE and PvP for that reason.

If you think in modern times that that level of OP gear would be allowed you just haven’t been paying attention.

All this aside, even if you genuinely thought it was OK then got nerfed… so what? You lost a bit of gold? Boohoo, you’re character isn’t bricked your just salty you’re not a god with OP gear anymore. Get your old gear back, or buy new BoAs, and keep playing. It’s low level you’ll get to end game soon and none of this will matter.

Nope just one of the prominent times that I remember an exact same situation.

This happens nearly ever expac except they don’t nerf the gear so you don’t hear about it ever since stat squish and ilevel squish It makes it harder to find more situations that I could bring to yalls attention… but no just blame the players… Even though blizzard has a history of making gear to make leveling in the current expac quicker because they always leave the BOAS at 10 levels lower than current expac… This is the first one that BOAS are 1-70 this soon

Go on the AH and buy crafted blue gear - they are dirt cheap because crafters have to make it to level their professions. We are talking like 10-20g apiece, maybe less, and you can get anything between 310-340 ilvl. Items that you can’t buy, you can try restoring through Item Restoration. But even with some pieces missing, you should be able to go back to playing.
