You can item restore all your old gear if you vendored it.
Using their common sense.
Surely people would question why a level 60 green is going for 10s of thousands of gold, right?
Do these new players have an IQ of 4 or something?
So your response is that everyone needs to research every purchase to make sure blizzard didn’t screw up somehow. And that they must have an “IQ of 4” for not mindreading blizzard or not already knowing the market values.
But even in that response it is funny as the normal leveling greens on stormrage go for 10’s of thousand and there’s nothing “unintended” about that gear. So in that case, no, nothing looks suspect.
If someone tried to sell me a Lamborghini for 15 dollars, I would know something was suspect. Alternatively, if someone is selling gear that is +100 item levels to everything else, I would know something was suspect.
You should make informed decisions with your money (gold) to and stay away from deals that seem to good to be true, yes.
How is this bricking a char? It’s still playable.
LOL wut
I just told you how normal leveling greens on stormrage go for tens of thousands and there’s nothing odd about it. Market values vary.
Really? Like legendaries? Or SL crafted items?
Yeah, keep blaming the players. I am sure one day we will figure out the distrust and retention issues. Big mystery.
The players are the only ones to blame.
Don’t buy items that are obviously miles better than the standard gear. These items could not have been a bigger red flag.
You can surprised Pikachu all you want, every person who bought this gear knew what they were doing.
Because no matter what is the highest available ilvl on the market, it will cost the most.
The fact you seem to not know this basic WoW AH principle shows who has the low IQ here.
I’ll take a new player over someone like you any day.
You just claimed that people should have known something was wrong because of the high prices… then you say the complete opposite with this nonsense.
Please tell me you’re trolling, and not being serious with this.
Pathetic.
When a company treats customers like this, they shouldn’t be shocked when those customers leave, and never come back.
And the fact that some here are cheering this behavior, might actually be worse.
Don’t blow your gold on obviously bugged items.
No one made them do that bud.
They played and lost. Next time they’ll use common sense.
This is laughably not correct. There are gray items going for gold cap bud.
When I ding 70, I buy 346 items off the AH. The 346 items are going cheaper then many items with lower item level pieces.
Update: Blizzard did not restore my remaining items. I uninstalled the game and will come back before my 60 day expires and see if I can equip my gear again. Way too many other games by developers who deeply respect players to remake another mage so I have items equipped.
This company has no respect for newer/less savvy players and expects everyone who has not touched this game in years to know what level 70 item levels are (for some really idiotic reason, no other consumer facing companies assume that much knowledge by new consumers).
What Blizzard and fans in this thread have to say is this: “How dare someone resubscribe and start leveling to enjoy a story and relearning how the class works after replacing ancient BFA gear… every new and returning player should spend several hours wasting their precious after-work time reading all item level tiers before buying stuff on the auctions.”
This topic is just one of many that have shown that Blizzard routinely over-estimates the intelligence of its average consumer.
Why are people defending blizzard for not making an announcement the day this bug was recognized?
Why are people blaming people who log in, go oh hey this gear is level 60 and most likely is there to speed leveling since we are X months into this expansion.
Why gloat over someone else’s misery though?
If Blizzard had a lick of sense, they would kick people like you to the curb permanently.
You’re an arrogant
This game (and these forums) have way too many people like you running around insulting people at will.
You are clearly new.
This is the norm around here.
Blizzard endorses this behavior.
I’ll blame blizzard for the lack of announcement.
But what do these types of posts expect of us? To get angry? I save my outrage for things that actually matter to me. I’m sorry it happened to you.
Now what…?
Now you have to deal with it. Do world quests. we just had a reset. Once you hit max level, that gear will be waiting for you
Gaining public sympathy isn’t going to make the gear go back to 60. And it certainly isn’t going to make you geared. So maybe don’t look at it as people not caring so much as then seeing you guys just… stagnating
That’s the point.
The post was for Blizzard, not you, or the 15k posters who think everything is directed at them.
You can’t stop yourself from jamming your opinion into EVERY post. Every topic.
People like you come into a post from an obviously mad OP, and poke the bear… then act shocked people are annoyed?
Troll more, Sasarai. It’s what you do best.
I’m not trolling. i’m just telling you like it is. You don’t have to like it, but blizzard isn’t reading these posts. I hope i’m not bursting your bubble here. Open a ticket. Go on twitter. I’m not even saying you can’t post here, but your end game is it’s gonna be ineffective if this is it
And it’s not what I do best. I can make that popping sound by putting your finger in your blown up cheek and pulling it out fast.
And if you truly are just trying to get blizzard’s attention it shouldn’t matter what we think. We don’t have power. If you’re upset that we don’t agree with you… I guess tough nuggets?
People shouldn’t make it so easy to be insulted by trying to abuse obvious bugs and then complaining about it
Why are you this way?
Did you not get that toy when you were seven, now everyone has to deal with your angry boy face?
People facing the consequences of their actions is always something to revel in. Don’t try to abuse obvious bugs.
