They claimed to know what was best every time they made a bad change or implement, it’s ok it’ll probably be changed prior to release or in a patch shortly after release
Nope. Going to get changed anyways.
Well if that happens I’ll be happy to admit that I was wrong about this whole thing, but until I experience it first hand to make my own decisions on the system based on personal experience and not what some streamer tells me ill keep my reservations.
Considering no one here but Ralph said anything about streamers I have to agree.
there are 100s of applicants to any current raid/m+ group … they can still choose the ppl who choose the meta. guilds will still recruit people who choose the meta … this is all completely unnecessary and redundant.
Not to mention without min/max players wouldn’t know if an item was BiS or not.
Ok so if it’s not an issue then you guys won’t have any issues playing it the way blizzard has designed and build your meta within those limited means.
He now makes decisions based on his experience of playing with the same group for 10+ years where he never has to worry about not having a group. He routinely dies (his logs are available) and grey parses and hasn’t even done masked visions yet. He has a privileged spot that most of us do not.
He only plays one spec so he doesnt unserstand why the rest of us want to play more. Its not even about min/maxing, its about wanting to play your class.
Would be no problem if so much wasnt tied to external power. But classes dont feel whole without it.
Ok but that’s still more high level content than 99% of the player base ever get to experience and designing the game for the top 1% is a mistake hence why they are not currently changing it to be freely swapped.
no, you are substituting one solution for the other.
guild / raid / group leaders will still pick and choose (i never lead anything).
players still can’t choose what to be for what content.
all this means is if you pick raiding as your “favorite” content, it will take longer for you to find groups for anything else. and that content will be more difficult for no real good reason.
So it’s entirely a player problem then. Why should the developers be forced to change the game instead of simply forcing players to adapt? That’s just bad game design.
Covenant abilities arent just being frowned upon by the 1%
it wasnt just the 1% that hated azerite respec costs. it wasnt just the 1% that hated rng legendaries and blp capped at 4. it wasnt just the 1% that hated essences not being boa.
you guys keep handwaving away all the casuals or more lax raider complaints and pretending its only the 1%.
thats an oversimplification … and you aren’t even really trying to have a conversation about it.
its not entirely a player problem. it is the system that is creating the problem. leaders have 100s of people to choose from, forcing players to lock themselves to certain content makes it harder for them to join leaders doing other content.
the system creates a mismatch. the leaders choose whether to ignore the mismatch or not … but the game usually provides them with ample amounts of “correct” solutions … except tanks, but thats a whole other conversation.
and by leaders i mean people forming the groups … not industry leaders or whatever rhetoric someone wants to pin on me …
and yet … you can still choose to go that route if you want … but those of us that don’t want to do that, and deal with longer queues and inferior experiences, shouldn’t have to.
It’s not, and Ralph knows it. He just posts in support of this nonsense because he knows it annoys people.
I have a feeling any kind of inconvenience for the people who play the game differently than you are will make you happy somehow.
Why are we limiting the amount of swapping at all? Once/week is too much. Trying to control how often we can change conduits and limiting our ability options to a transmog/theme choice are part of the same issue with Blizzard. Blizzard has an ideal way that they want us to play their game and wants to push that on us. Why not allow us to respec conduits as frequently as we want? How does that hurt blizzard as a company if I get more enjoyment from playing the best conduit build for the situation?
His not limiting people blizzard is and it’s about time not everything needs to be min and max.
Except it’s still going to be a thing, just you won’t be able to swap between what’s best for raids/dungeons/pvp you’ll have to choose one and suffer whilst making the skill gap even larger since player A who has equal skill as player B decided to spec into raid conduits for the week instead of pvp or dungeon conduits will do more damage and be preferred over the latter.
Making them like essences = good.
Doubling down on restrictions = bad.
Blizzard will fail to balance as usual and people will just use the best simming builds.
O so they did add it to a permanent collection?
Well I guess they are listening to feedback.
The changing out once per week is a little disappointing, but I will get over that.
