The other theory is that OP somehow came into possession of illicit gold via an unsupported transaction, and blizzard nuked it, with a possible suspension that either already happened and was missed, or got didn’t go through as intended.

Please humour me, What category did you put your ticket under? Unless it was report your account was hacked then it’s under the wrong category and will NOT be looked into in the correct manner. When there is a compromise they look for a whole lot more than just where the gold went.
Think about it. If this was a ai response why would it take 4 days!
Also if you wrote your ticket like this i am not surprised they missed the meat of your problem.
I also never heard of them hacking and not changing your email and password on the account and leaving everyone naked and everything gone.
Indeed it is not their usual modus operandi.
As we know historically they’re ruthless and scarily efficient. EVERYTHING gets stripped - gold, equipped gear, and every single item in the banks, plus changing the email and password to make regaining control of the account easy.
It’ll be interesting to see the outcome if a forum SFA is able to have a peek when they’re on duty to hopefully give OP some insight.

Their mo is go to account management and change the password and email before logging into game. This way if the player sees this happening they have no quick way to stop it

You can view all the logins on your account and see if there is any that are suspicious. It will help confirm or deny your hacked theory.
Let me be very clear, because it seems that folks are fixated on AI and believe it is in more places then it is. The responses you have received have been from actual real life people, we do not use AI to reply to tickets.
It does look like there was some confusion because of your used of “warband”, as they did relate that to the Warband’s warbank. The trouble also is, we’re not seeing any clear sign of compromise. You have an Authenticator on the account and it doesn’t appear it was removed at any point.
I see you have a couple of other tickets open, and one specifically in the compromise queue, so hopefully we can take a closer look at it.
