If you havenât put in a hacked report then that is why itâs taking longer because youâve put in a ticket in the incorrect area and will not get appropriately responded to which is what is already happening. Problem between keyboard and chair.

If OP has indeed secured their account with an authenticator prior to this issue, I have doubts about the compromise theory. My moneyâs on a display issue.
youd lose your money on that one. i cant purchase anything on AH or repair my gear because i dont have enough gold to do so. plus its missing on both classic era and retail.

The worst that might happen is youâll have to just close your already existing ticket.
You were hacked, but your characters were not stripped, and your login credentials were not changed? Thatâs virtually unheard off.

Its what im choosing to do. I would like to see Blizzard employees doing their job and responding to me instead of sending me an auto generated response
Informing the general public about how bad customer service is, is what fixes the problem with customer service. Sending a feedback review in for them to just throw it to the side wont fix their lack of effort.
Yeah, something is not adding up here. If itâs not a display issue, is it possible that Cap either sent the gold to an alt and forgot, or bought something and isnât remembering?
No. I would know if i sent my gold to an alt or bought something. and again gold was taken from all my level 80 characters and also from my classic era characters. a simple log check by blizzard could fix the entire problem. then they can ban the account that my gold went to and refund it to me. minimal effort, everyone is happy.
My first thought after dismissing the compromise theory was that OP had run out of game time and bought a token to fund the account for 30 days. But Iâm donât think it pulls gold from Classic characters.
I promise you your account was not hacked, and your gold wasnât stolen. Perhaps one of the blues you think doesnât exist will pop on in the morning and shed some light.
Well that is certainly your choice to do, but you have to realize the only one youâre hurting by doing this is yourself.
I mean if it was me and I thought my account was compromised, the very second thing I would have done is open a ticket under account hack. The first would be to change all my passwords.
I wouldnât play around when it comes to my Blizzard account. I would want my ticket answered as quickly as possible by the ones who are most able to help me, and part of that is my responsibility for putting the ticket in the correct category.
It would be like having your credit cart stolen and calling your bank and not selecting the âreport a lost or stolen cardâ option. Itâs going to result in slower and worse service.

The ticket is in the correct place. Passwords have been changed. There is nothing else to do but wait on blizzard to fix the issue
Gone doesnât automatically mean stolen. If your account had been hacked, they woulds taken everything.

Just to touch on this, I wouldnât hold your breathe on getting the gold back. I canât speak to getting hacked as the only time Iâve ever been hacked was in OG Wotlk. But Iâve been scammed before in DF for 100k and the scamming account was actioned but GMs will not restore that gold. Was just a lesson learned.
Well until that happens im going to remain hopefull that it will get returned to me. I shouldnt be punished for my gold being taken. As far as a lesson learned , i didnt do anything wrong. I would be happy to hear the account that recieved my gold gets banned though.
