Templar buffs don't even apply to PvP lmao

But as soon as you enter PvP combat, all of these values revert to how they were before (for example you still need 60 stacks for Light’s Deliverance)

LMAOOOO good thing they didn’t let this buff apply to PvP, Templar is dominating the ladder right now!!!

This must be an oversight. I can confirm this is happening and on-going.

Yea bro, man templars were everywhere since launch in pvp imagine if they buffed them. That would make them just on par with herald, we wouldn’t want that !

man and here I was about to do some pvp on my paladin alt to test the hammer this time… classic blizzard devs.

I actually did play a game as templar. First encounter was at quarry against a warlock that I hit for 2.1M HoL crit and I went OHHHHHHHH THE BUFFS ARE IN. to then realize that warlock was in last expansions gear and barely had 6M hp (too low for a warlock). yea I quickly realized nothing had changed. Sad

lol I lost 20 rating at r1 Mmr and cr thinking the changes went live for pvp too. I got rolled over.

It is getting really hard to justify paying my sub, when they don’t waste your time extending the maintenance for hours they let simple bugs went for days…

As a Ret Paladin main I can confirm feeling the same way right now.

I love this game beyond belief, but this kind of mess has to stop.

Why did the buffs not go through to PvP? Is it a bug?
If it’s not a bug, why did you guys not note that these changes do not apply to PvP combat?

What in the world is going on with this team and their communication?

Lmao this was me too, i jumped on a dummy and hit it for 3mil crit and was all giffy then got into a Arena and smashed my head on the desk

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again.

People playing WoW for its PVP should expect to come last in priority over pretty much every other part of the game.

Blizz do not cater to PVP, they do not respect PVP players and they barely design anything for it in mind anymore.

People still paying them solely for it have Stockholm syndrome.

I do not understand how they can give their money to Blizzard for such a poorly maintained product.

Because despite this the pvp is still really fun and there really isnt any other game similar out there on the market. Thanks for being unhelpful though.

What I said is nothing but the truth.

The fun you may have with it is irrelevant.

I can have fun with games that have been unsupported for the last 20 years.

It means nothing.

The fact is, they don’t maintain it properly, it always comes last and this situation is the latest example.

It’s not like it was disputable, they are literally doing that right now.

Your attitude is just annoyingly arrogant.

People paying for the product are allowed to voice their greviences and ask for a bug to be fixed. Why people like you come in here running damage control for a billion dollar company under the guise of being smug and “helpful” ill never understand.

Just stay in your lane.

That is unfortunate  hopefully they fix Ret single target by 11.5. Next patch is supposed to drop soon but I haven’t put much time into my Ret due to how it fares in pvp.

That’s a you problem.

I stated facts.

  • Was the templar change available for PVP at the same time as the hotfixe was released? No
  • Did they remove and replace Ret Aura PVP talents when they removed Ret aura? No
  • Did they remove/replace/change Hallowed Ground when they decided to make the automatic Consec on BoJ baseline? No

And I’m just listing Ret stuff, they do that on all classes and spec.

They don’t respect you.

But I guess I’m arrogant for bursting your bubble?
Hell, I could say similar things for PVE if you want.

  • They didn’t test affixes to see how they would play out in dungeons
  • They released an unfinished expansion and we basically played a live beta. Which is made evident by the Delve tuning, the extensive bugs on many classes and hero talent reworks they need to do for 11.0.5.
  • They keep underestimating maintenance schedules.

Yeah im sure you came into the thread about a pvp bug, a form of content you dont engage in solely to be helpful to your fellow players.

Hope blizzard paid you to write all that out cause im not reading it lol.

I engage in pve and pvp btw. Its just players like you are the most annoying. Again stay in your lane. Youve added nothing to the discussion in this thread besides smug arrogance looking down your nose at other people.

I understand what you are saying and ultimately, trying to say. Of course I agree that PvP comes last overall. Even as someone who ONLY plays WoW for PvP, I still can understand why this is the way it is. In fact, it really is the right call on their part.

PvP does not run the player numbers that Mythic+ and Raids do.

Even still, I would argue they need to polish up their PvP focus just a bit.

But overall, this entire issue really doesn’t strike me as PvP-related, even though we are directly complaining about the Templar buffs not being active in PvP Combat.

This seems like an outright bug and is better represented as a quality control issue towards the game as a whole.

Quality control for bug prevention and bug fixing is seriously down compared to the game’s past.

But my biggest gripe now, is the LACK of communication. This is the most telling and why I personally feel disrespected as a player.

Why did these Templar buffs not go through for PvP? Is it a bug? If it’s a bug, can we get some communication telling us that you guys are aware and are working on a fix?

If this is not a bug, why did you guys not include “Does Not Apply to PvP Combat” in the official notes? Was it an oversight?

If this is a sudden pivot before the patch went live, can you at least tell us?

Of course they should, what they are doing now specifically toward PVP is a parody.

I’m just being blunt on the current state.

Those are all legitimate questions.

But having to ask them in the first place seems to indicate a detachment on their part from the gamemode itself.

I do wish they would respect this part of the player base more so than they are actually.
Consistency is a bare minimum bar that isn’t even met ATM.

I know its said in jest, but these devs are severely behind on their work. IDK if there arent enough of them, or the timelines are too aggressive, but its clear they are just not able to keep up

they changed this and apparently it was a bug and now they do apply in pvp… but yeah the damage is alright (not even near the top burst level specs ) but might be a bit predictable depending on the situation…
