TBC will suck because of flying

exactly, flying mount is a meaningful purchase… Felt uber expensive back in the day.

This doesnt make sense considering Classic is ez mode.

Someone has never known the love of a good flying sparkle pony.

No it won’t, it’s gonna be amazing can’t wait for classic TBC!

60% flying was 1k

The faster one was 5k.

TBC was designed with flying in mind. Everything else went away from that.

Rob Pardo in his countdown to classic said it best. He wishes they kept flying outland only.

It’s good in outland, eveywhere else not.

Will you have an “Maully cackles evilly” emote to go with the picking?

The only ppl that want flying in TBC are PVE’ers. PvPers understand the negative effect flying had on world PvP whereas PvE players liked the convenience it brought for them. Removing flying in TBC would be a smart decision on Blizzards part but they won’t do that, even tho it’s something the vast majority would want removed from the game.

Four people do not make a “vast majority”.

What do you mean! If you run fast enough and jump hard enough, you’ll make it to the floating islands required for a multitude of quests =P

The zones were DESIGNED for flying. The old zones remained grounded. Remember the first time in Wrath when you flew up to meet the Storm Giant ?

The Zones were so well designed there was content everywhere. I play on a PVE server, don’t give a whit about world PVP. I do love instanced PVP.

Cataclysm ruined the game. They wrecked the old world and wrecked the talent trees. Then they started down the gimme path, and homogenization … and eventually pruning .

I thought it was good in WotLK, too

I think the point is that the zones should have been designed without flying in mind. Most of Outlands you don’t need flying, but there are certain areas where it’s necessary, TK and lots of Blade’s Edge come to mind. They could add a lot more ramps in BEM and a teleporter to TK in Cosmowrench to combat the nonflying inaccessible portion of Outlands.

BC, and arguably modern day WoW, would have been a much better expansion in my opinion, and many others’ as well, if flying was never a feature of WoW.

Since I play on a PVE server, I just loved the great designed zones. Flying was a great part, and it did not affect the classic part of the world.

Except for the world PVP fans, flying affects no one. If people don’t like it, don’t fly.

Yes, and?

World PvP was -never- good. Not ever. It was ALWAYS trash. It was always about who has more numbers, who got the drop on who, and who killed someone who was fighting mobs.

It was crap. From day 1. It was just all there was until BGs were released.

Flying didn’t kill World PvP. Meaningful PvP killed World PvP.

World PvP “died” (and rightfully so) the moment BGs opened.

Get over it.

Flying is fine.

You VASTLY overestimate the number of people with this opinion, and what percentage of the population that actually plays the game steadily it represents.

incorrect. I’m a PvPer (have done solely PvP as my end-game content since Vanilla). I like flying.

Yep. I understand it put the very tiny final nail in the already-dead World PvP. So who cares. It was garbage, is still garbage, and wll always be garbage. Flying didn’t kill wPvP, BGs did. It was long dead before flying was a thing.

You’re absolutely deluded if you believe that. The number of people who hate flying is an absolutely tiny minority of butthurt forum posters, which is already an insanely small portion of the player base.

Flying is fine.

You are so very wrong. I got jumped by 2 several times and I killed them both. If you had gladiator skill level, you could kill 2 people alone easy. Flying insta-cast was and is trash. GIT GUD or play in a PVE server.

I got plenty of WPvP in BC

A post made by a 44 toon who clearly never played BC and is only repeating what he heard a streamer say or saw on Reddit
Just like all the others
