Why are you so angry? This is supposed to be a fun game. If you don’t want to play with a shaman tank, don’t.

Yes, and this fun game requires group cooperation and synergy. If you and 9 other people want to do something unconventional, more power to you, but that is where the line is drawn. Beyond that, any demand to be treated as a viable alternative to Tanking as several have indicated in this very thread is just selfishness.
Shaman wanting to Tank is the equivalent of the 3rd string NFL kicker wanting to be the QB and it only going well if the team goes up against Texas high school teams, because the moment the team steps up to anything even remotely challenging he’s getting folded over no matter how much the line tries to hold for him.
No one is stopping you from being suicidal, just don’t encourage suicide in others.

You’re very dramatic for a person who assumingly watched that “kicker” successfully do their job. Wasn’t pretty but it was done. Plus you need to remember that this game is supposed to be fun. You’re way too competitive at something that will never yield you anything.

Yes, and when one person’s fun comes at the expense of 4, 9, or 24 other people, that’s a problem. When that one person’s fun doesn’t come at all because they were misled by overenthusiastic posts and discussions about an exciting new method to “tank” on a Shaman, that’s a huge problem.

People play this game for fun. Some peoples idea of fun is different then yours obviously. You take this waaaaay too seriously like its a personal vendetta because of what druid tanks have been through. Imposter syndrome is real.

Sweat has nothing to do with dying to unhealable damage. I eagerly await the pointless videos of you struggling through Heroic Underbog wearing S2/3 gear. And this right here is exactly my point, the handwaving speculation completely dislodged from reality that we have such a savvy playerbase now that we’ll just GUT our way through to victory.
This game is a fancy spreadsheet, not Dark Souls where you can flawlessly execute inane strategies and still win with enough time and patience.
Stoneclaw doesn’t transfer anything to the Shaman so it is pointless anyway, since it is basically just a class-specific Target Dummy. Useful in a pinch if the mob is going to get properly taunted after or die in that short duration, but that’s it.

If you’re relying on that for AoE, you simply don’t have enough to spread around to hold off meaningful healing aggro, let alone actual DPS.

Sure I have, I’ve shown comparisons between Phase 1, BiS EH geared Shaman barely beating out the survivabilty of a Warrior still in 100% Naxx gear, enchants, etc. That’s a very relevant contribution.

Hardly, you just don’t understand how kits actually work together and assume, silly as it is, that because Frost Shock has a 200% threat modifier on it that anything that boosts it makes it the best thing ever, when the gear you use doesn’t even support it.
Relying on Frost Shock with no caster stats is like a Warrior stuck in their +Healing Flask set trying to make Heroic Strike hold threat.
More Psych 101 nonsense.
