TBC Dual Spec

There shouldn’t be respecs at all. This game would have been so much better if people just had to live with the talents they chose from the start.

Some spec’s arent good for pvp or pve or farming. that makes you sense…

You only think like that because respecs are in the game.

Ok, and? if I was force to play one spec period. I probably wouldnt quit 20 years ago.

And the game and community would have been better without you if that is the case.

And there we have it people. Nah, the community would be a hell of a lot better w/o you. Go play something else.

That’s how it was in early Beta. Players revolted, and for good reason.

Some talents are good for leveling/early gearing, then not as much after. So everyone would ignore those talents. Cookie cutter builds all the way. No interest in testing unique builds for fun.

And new players would end up screwing themselves. Having to start over once they realized they screwed up.

I don’t understand why people hate fun.

All we have is cookie cutter builds now because of respecs. If there were no respecs Blizzard would have been forced to make bad talents useful.

You are the one here saying you would pack up your toys and go home if it’s not your way.

I think that’s a bit too extreme but they could have done something like D2 where you had only a select number of times you could respec and not do it infinitely.

Also anytime they updated talent trees they would have to add an additional free respec.

they could give players respecs as they rolled out content patches with talent tweaks. players being able to go change their talents whenever they want to has been one of the root problems with WoW the entire time.

I bet you are a paladin that will need on all gear cloth/leather/mail/plate simply because you can wear it. I mean, why not… right? lol

I dont play retail and havent since they made it extremely difficult for alts. So, yeah… if I was force to play one spec since day. I probably would’ve picked a different game.

I was super happy with SWG till sony killed it and force me to play wow. lol

oh man I’m sorry about what happened to you with SWG. I never played it but I followed the news on what they did to the game.

Yeah, my best mmo experience was in SWG and nothing has even come close since. Not even WoW.

I would say mine was a split between Asheron’s Call which had the best pvp community and City of Heroes which had the best pve community. I know in its glory days SWG was king though.

I had some fun with City of Heroes.

But SWG was so far ahead of its time. Everything in the game was player created… EVERYTHING! player houses, player cities. /cry just thinking about it.

How so???

ah yes, choices matter and my choice should prevent me from playing other aspects of the game in a competitive way. this is not a good take, seeing that i dont want to respec after every raid to pvp.

So you can’t queue up for the BG/Arena unless you are in a PVP spec? Just saying, saying that it “prevents” you is hyperbole. You just won’t be optimal unless you respecced.

I personally am fine with an instanced PVP spec as an alternative to Wrath-style Dual-spec. I am just opposed to people having 2 PVE raid specs they can swap between.

Add duel specialization, put it on a 24 hour cool down.

If you want to change specs outside of that 24 hour window than you can go to the trainer and do it the old fashion way.
