That is the terminology that is widely used in the classic community to refer to BFA whether or not you like the term.
Thatâs the terminology Blizzard uses. I have both games downloaded. The file folders are labeled classic and retail.
Ok, sure. There will be layers. But there will be less layers needed if BEs and Dranei start at level 1 on launch day. Less layers is better than more layers.
I still think if youâre rolling the new races, you should be starting when everyone else gets to go through the portal. There is a cost to making a new main; why make it essentially free by letting you do it when thereâs nothing to do on your current character?
Classic is still technically retail since you pay for it.
Blizzard just granted amnesty for illegals (private server players) and they tax you now (subscription)
How was it in TBC, I canât recall if prepatch let you play the races
You could not play the new races until the expac was out.
Jewelcrafting was also locked behind buying the expac- you couldnât even train it without buying the expansion after it was out.
Then thatâs how it should be.
Thatâs a massive disadvantage to Alliance for raiding week 1 and 2.
Even longer for most guilds as we wonât have shamans.
We will have drums tho.
They have a disadvantage the entire expansion, itâs kinda how TBC is.
That being said, itâs not so mechanically tight that you will need lust to clear the launch content, most likely. Really depends on how they go about phasing it I guess.
Eh they have PvP disadvantages but pve is kinda equal, horde will just appear to dominate over because of the population imbalance.
Shaman is by far the BEST class in all of TBC for pve.
And they get it at launch.
True, but a prot paladin is almost necessary to clear SSC, so theyâll have to level theirs too. Itâs definitely something you want for Hyjal and beyond.
Iâd argue that prot paladin is more of an important class than shaman on aoe fights, which there are a couple. So I donât think the week one argument holds much water. Warriors and Druids just donât have that kind of aoe threat.
Blessings are less flashy but also extremely strong; salv in particular. Lust without salv actually sounds pretty miserable tbh. Although more classes have proper threat drops in TBC, as well.
If I canât flex my TF on the scrubs I ainât playin!
You will use 5 shamans in your raid of 25.
You will use 1 prot pally.
Every spec of shaman is great, enhance goes with melee group, resto with healers, ele with casters.
Shaman is just brokenly good.
Paladin tanks werenât trusted going in, thanks to how awful they were in Vanilla. We didnât use a dedicated paladin tank until Hyjal. Really need one for that. I tanked the Morogrim Tidewalker murlocs and embers of Alâar as holy in prot gear. I think with 2.4.3 talents most guilds will use one.
ya how was layer at launch again that only means what 20 layers for one zone can they even have that many
If they get rid of classic guess what happens the people wanting calssic only are going to go back to private serverâs Im sure blizzard would just LOVE losing money again
Anyone who wants TBC brings their vanilla toon into TBC.
Anyone who wants more vanilla, gets wiped out and starts over on the fresh vanilla realm
#authenticity.
Oh, I agree.
But both sides have shaman and paladin, itâs a moot point once the levelling is done.
So in the context of week one, the one prot pally is a comparable roadblock.
I mean none are actual roadblocks.
Iâm just thinking of the better raid comps, and horde will definitely have an advantage early.
Maybe for a week or two. I wonât take long for alliance to have shaman to 70. Same goes for horde with paladins.
Iâm for it.
