They did. All that good raid gear you have at level 60. Worthless at 70 for the most part.
Happens. Every. Expansion.
Classic is a refresh too in a sense. From what we call Retail.
I don’t know if you’ll get banned. But they aren’t allowed in Classic or Retail in NA atleast.
They changed this rule in Legion I believe. Too many ninjas here.
It’s meant to be classic, just create seasons and restart it from phase 0 on a fresh server and keep current one. When that new server is done, just give people participation rewards, wipe it, and start fresh from phase 0.

What is the difference between being banned and not being allowed?
Why do you not answer my questions?
Why should everyone’s playtime be reset for every expansion? That’s not very contusive to returning players being able to participate. Is it easier for them to pick up where they left off.
I’ve ran or participated in GDKP runs every expansion since Wrath. Not once have I ever had a GM contact me.
There are at least two weekly runs going on that I know of and have never been asked to stop.
Uhh they can silence you or mute you can you can’t talk?
I literally quote you and answer them. Can you not read?
if they do that, it’ll be boost heaven. making bank.

All the good gear I got in WC was soon worthless. As was the good gear I got in SFK or Mara etc. was soon worthless. With each upgrade in gear this character continued. From level 1 to level 120. I didn’t start it over when BC was released. I didn’t start over again at level 1 when wrath came out. When BC is released I’ll transfer all my characters to it or I’ll quit the game. I don’t care if there are fresh servers for those who want them but I won’t play on them. Each of us has a limit on how many times we’ll replay the same game from start to finish. I’ve reached that limit with wow.
What is the point of endgame then?
There’s a reason why Pservers were Classic. A lot of people liked to get a decked out toon and not ever have to level them again and regear.
But people like you want it the way you want.
You actually have not. I just skimmed the last of your responses to mine, and you just respond to my responses to your questions, and do not even mention my questions. Just like right now how you did not answer my question. You just said you do and do not.
What’s the question? Make it simple.
Why should everyone’s playtime be reset every expansion. That is not contusive towards new players, even though that is a reason being given towards resetting the economy. If a player only achieved level 50, and now has to start over for BC, they may not want to play anymore.
- Why should everyone’s time be reset for every expansion?
- How is that more contusive towards casual player’s leveling experience?
Continuing your characters progression and keeping your gear, gold, rep and rewards is the authentic (classic) experience. Case closed.

Classic isn’t going anywhere. Blizzard has stated these servers are up for the long run.
Bonus Question I’ll answer.
You can play two games! You can keep your level 50, continue to level and play Classic with other Classic players, and/or play TBC!
The population on p-servers is a fraction of the population playing classic. There’s a reason most people moved on to the next expansion instead of replaying classic over and over again.
I want it the way it always happened. I moved onto the next expansion with the characters I invested time in. I’m ok if people get the classic only servers they want or the fresh servers they want. I don’t care about them but I don’t want to force you to move onto BC servers. You’re the one who wants everyone to get only what you want.
And there’s a reason Retail is dead. The majority is not always right friend.
This. This is what killed Retail. This mentality. “I want.”
A player who wants to continue playing the game, now has to relevel all over again for Burning Crusade? I do not accept that as an acceptable answer.
Continuing to play a character is not entitlement. It is the standard. People play games to play games and develop a character, not to have that character reset. Again, I do not accept that answer.
I never played on a pserver, and even I know they exist for most, if not all, expansions. Do later expansions have smaller populations? Sure. But they do exist.
NOTE: Not getting into the rest of the back-and-forth on that. Just pointing out that claiming that’s why pservers are classic is inaccurate.

Yes. Anyone who played Classic had to relevel a toon. They didn’t let us transfer Retail characters over.
Thankfully you don’t matter in decisions like this.
90% of the population was for Classic. Just saying.

When Burning Crusade was released, did everyone relevel? Weird.
I mean, you should care, otherwise why are you responding?
