Taunka Allied Race Megathread

I don’t see why they couldn’t make Warsong Hold their new capital.

Warsong Hold is held by the Warsong though.

Last we heard was that it was held by a skeletal crew that was led by Saurfang, prior to the Cataclysm. At some point Saurfang left to aid the Darkspear Rebellion, leaving the commander in charge of Warsong Hold unknown. So High Chieftain Roanauk Icemist could easily set up shop and have it function as the Taunka capital.

Itd certainly make sense for thw Taunka to maybe help man and fortify it, but personally im not sure I would want it to be their capitol.

Id like the Taunak to create their own capitol, with their own architecture and so on.

That would be rather neat.

In thinking about it, Exploring Northrend revealed that Camp Oneqwah had expanded and received an influx of Taunka refugees. So perhaps the Camp Oneqwah could be updated into their capital?

Thats a possibility. We know for certain they arnt returning to their old one per Exploring Northrend. Hmm.

I feel like it would need a new name though.

I would like to see some Taunka in Ogrimmar because they are a part of the Horde since WotLK. Some Taunka ambassadors in Orgrimmar would be really appreciated. They deserve a place in the Horde and mostly in Orgrimmar.

It is funny to call this a megathread considering we aren’t even at the 1k post mark yet.

Icemist village can be taken back once the scourge is gone.

It is named as such to try and say any discussion for the Taunka AR can happen here, instead of splitting it between a bunch of threads.

Per the most recent lore, the Taunka have decided to not retake it. It has too many bad memories associated with death and the scourge.

No they just didn’t have enough soldiers to stage a fully grown attack yet. IF the Horde decides to help them things can change. And just like the Frostborn they can finally get a real hub which is worthy of the name.

Friendly reminder that they said in Last Titan we will see Northrend again so fingers are crossed we get a grown revamp of the continent to settle right what the scourge did wrong.

Erevien, please update yourself on the lore before trying to argue about it. It was stated in the Exploring Azeroth, Northrend edition that the Taunka have chosen not to try to reclaim their home; they have no interest in it because of the bad memories associated with the village now.

That book is basically an excuse for Blizzard to keep the status of the continent it visits in the current questing era of the story until they are actually willing to change it by making it relevant again in a new expansion. Nothing to do with bad memories.

As its a new month its time to suggest things at Blizzard and hope it sticks!

One of the races I like to suggest is the Taunka!

Here is a guide written by Bagzak that goes over how to do so!

Id like a Tauren offshoot modeled after the Talbuck.

Missed opportunity for an additional previously unmentioned native race for Argus honestly…

But lets focus on the other Tauren tribe not yet made playable thats already Horde. :stuck_out_tongue:

Remember to submit suggestions for the races you want to see in game and playable!

Taunka should be an easy Allied race to add.

Taunka would be a wonderful race to have added to the Horde.

Not just because they’re already a part of it, but also because it would be great to see the three tribes of Tauren come together in Mulgore and share their cultures.

The tauren of the plains, Highmountain Tauren and the Taunka would be a force unto themselves if they banded together fully.

Sorry, too busy giving a spotlight to the poor neglected elves to do a story about the Tauren tribes confederating or the troll tribes actually coming together

I’ll admit… theres probably going to be a bit of elf fatigue. lol

Though I’m hopefully Blizzard going forward will be able to slip in more of these sorts of stories as they move forward. It would be really nice to see other cultures even if the focus finds itself around the Sunwell…again.

It really would and even better if the Yaungol got involved.
