So, yes, it’s been nearly an entire year since essences were released. So it was a 2019 thing. 
We’re talking about earning essences with echoes you walking hamburger
Yes but I earned my essences on my alts the hard way - they way they were originally intended while you spent your time getting all the essences on your main. I realize you took the easy echo way for your alts.
They were talking about earning essences on alts in general as far as I can tell.
Maybe you should pay attention to what people are writing, and stop preening at yourself in your proverbial mirror for a bit.

I wonder how much content you have done…i wouldn’t know because you keep your profile hidden but as you can see…i have done a ton of content since this current system released and can damned well guarantee I have done as much if not more than you have with regards to echo earning activities.
No, the thread’s about being able to target corruptions now, a feature everyone’s been asking for for a while, and the fact the cloak is going to be easier to get to rank 15.
Some people are complaining about a minor inconvenience that’s being created due to this new change.
And that’s all it is.

I have no doubt you have done more content in regard to echo earning activites because after them made all my efforts earning essences on my alts to be a waste of time, I stopped paying them for awhile. I had no reason until recently to even earn echoes because I already had the essences on 8 characters.
You really shouldn’t say that into the mirror you seem so fond of staring at.

This affects echoes and the penalty people like Swalsh and I will get for getting all rank 3’s as soon as we could. The problem is that people that decided to not get all of them unlocked, but did all the same content will receive a much higher reward.
A reset is punitive to players who are actually using Echoes for their original intended use – getting rank 3 essences already “unlocked” on their account by another character.
A new currency that we ALL start at zero, achieves the same purpose of not disadvantaging those of us who never had Echoes, but it doesn’t punish those who are using it as they were intended.

Seeing how they are multiplying echos earned 5x over, and with as much content as you and Swalsh claim to do, I’m sure you’ll probably be able to farm out the corruptions you want in a months time at most.
A minor inconvenience at worst.
Honestly, wiping the echos from other players should not be an option.
A new currency would probably be ideal.
Did you get a lot of participation awards as a kid? Doing all the same content as other people and being stuck weeks out from purchasing the correct corruptions while others who did less or the same can immediately buy what they want seems pretty fair lol. You have to be kidding.
This would be the smart thing to do…but when has the smart thing ever crossed the table at Blizzard?
You receive more benefits on alts because you earned all those essences on your main. You were greatly rewarded by the echo system already if you have any alts at all. You guys just think you should come out ahead with every system they come up with and people like me should lose with every system they come out with and I don’t think that is fair.
No, I didn’t get any participation rewards as a kid.
I’m not really sure why you would attempt to jump to that conclusion, besides attempting to be condescending.
Your reward was having all your rank 3 essence working perfectly, while others were playing catch up.
You’ll be able to earn plenty of echos to be able to afford your abilities in due time. It’s not like 8.3 is going anywhere, anytime soon.
Not saying that at all. If we both did all the exact same content but you chose not to spend your points and I did. You got a massive stockpile of echoes while I got nothing for doing the same thing…doesn’t sound fair at all. They should just make a new currency to buy essences that way we are all on the same playing field out the gate.
