Ineffable Truth, though ultra rare, is exceptional for Holy Paladins and healing Monks. It increases the speed at which CDs reset.
looks at self, notes they are a shaman, and shrugs
Exceptionally, ultra rare, and only really useful on classes I am not… okay then.
Being rewarded for showing up ( aka not doing as much content) seems pretty much like a participation award to me. “Playing catch up” is just another way of saying you didn’t put in as much time as those of us that did get our rank 3’s right away…come on man…this isn’t rocket science.
You did say healers. But hey I guess you want to be aggressive. I’ll leave you to it.
Or they simply decided to spend their time doing something completely different than you did, and ended up getting a stockpile of side currency that you don’t have, because they spent their time differently.
Just because everyone doesn’t play the exact same way, is not a reason to invalidate whatever that person had earned.
I apologize, I’m just a little bit grumpy tonight, that was unreasonable of me.
All good. Peace.
No we didn’t. You spent your time last year working on your main and earning all the rank 3 essences on your main and I spent that time and more earning the essences (without echoes) on my alts. When they brought echoes in I had no use for them at all because I already did the content the hard/slow way and had my essences on my alts.
There is no stockpile of echoes for me for the most because I quit because of that injustice. I have two new 120s that I have been collecting echoes on for essences and I don’t even like the idea that to please you I will go from almost having an essence to having to play another week for one by that 5x business.
I have 60 hours left on my game time though, so if they want to screw me again go ahead the timing is pretty much perfect this time.
There are only certain ways you can earn the echoes. So, doing the exact same content, while you receive a currency and I receive nothing simply because i got it knocked out faster makes total sense to me lol.
Yeah, it’s called a catch up mechanic.
that’s How it works. you rush it down, you have it already, and don’t need the catch up mechanic.
I think you mean a pass up mechanic…where you buy 3 BIS corruptions and pass people like me up because we got ours as soon as we could. I would be fine if they just used a different currency, but since they decided to use a currency I couldn’t earn, obviously I am unhappy with it. It’s OK though, enjoy being handed everything instead of earning it.
I have zero echos as well.
Well, I guess you will be left far in the dust then just like those of us who got all this crap knocked out right away. I have been running +15’s and higher since echoes released and still haven’t gotten my BIS corruptions. I do pretty well without them, but sure, lets give them to players that haven’t done half as much. They need to just use a different currency and use Echoes for what they were being used for.
I really don’t understand why you’re so upset about this.
Clearly based on what your saying, you’ll be blasting out in no time with this stuff.
Some people stockpiling a little bit of essences, isn’t going to be some overwhelming massive threat to you.
You should chill out.
The playing field should be even. People that have been playing much more casually and/or doing way less are going to immediately placed in front. They will be able to buy their bis right off the bat and in some cases multiples of them. While I have to grind it all out again over a few weeks. Even though, I have completed way more of the currency earning content.
So what your saying is.
The catch up mechanic, to help people catch up to people whom have spent more time gathering better corruptions, is going to unfairly favor people who still need to catch up, rather than people whom are just min-maxing?
It’s almost like it’s meant to be a catch up mechanic or something.
If only blizzard mentioned this was a catch up mechanic from the start, I think alot of confusion would have been avoided.
You are a unique individual to say the least. I am saying that this “catch up” mechanic…is completely unfair to players pursuing content on a “main” vs playing alts and stockpiling points. Reward the players that didn’t spend the points other players had no possibility of earning.
Please! Why? Oh Why? I have levelled four toons to 120 in the last month (thank you Blizz) but none, none, none of them have yet gained enough Echoes to buy even one essence. Who are you trying to help here? My main has every essence, doesn’t need any more, can’t get any more.
So what we really need is to be able to distribute those Echoes earned by my main to the other toons on my account.
So disappointed by this ridiculous decision.
Because it’s a Catch up mechanic
I wish they would just use a different currency and keep the echoes working the way they were intended for originally. But that would make sense.
